Quick overview

Developed as a go-to, ride-it-all deck, the Basic has been refined over the years to the point that both pros and newbies reach for it on a regular basis. The UnderBite outline extracts more arc, more hold and a better carving experience out of every design we apply it to and the Basic was the genesis of it all.

Details

PROFILE

  • CamRock
A hybrid rocker / camber profile with a symmetrical tip and tail. The rocker resides in the nose, with a light camber between the feet. The camber is between your feet as a spring keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more allowing it to float. This creates a super versatile board profile that performs under all conditions.

CORE

  • Full Poplar
The baseline core for tip to tail woodcore snowboard construction. Strikes a predictable balance between durability, consistent flex and light weight.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Biax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 2-dimensional fiberglass at an angle of 90 degrees. 2-dimensional fiberglass gives a slight torsional stiffness while maintaining comfort and a playful character.

BASE

  • Extruded base
Formed by extrusion. It is softer than the other two bases. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. At the speeds many of us ride, this material is actually quicker (gets up to speed faster) than sintered when waxed correctly. It also retains wax better because it’s more porous and is easy to fix with a P-Tex stick if you get scratches in it.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Underbite Edges
Underbite aims to increase edge grip and ease of turning. The steel edges are slightly pulled inward at the height of the inserts. The result is an increased grip so that you can put more force on your steel edges. This makes your turns a lot easier.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.
