Quick overview

Yes has revolutionized snowboard shaping with the 20/20. This board uses a concave at the nose and tail, something we have already seen in water sports. Thanks to this shape, air/snow is pushed under and the nose pushes up. Perfect during your landings in powder. Despite the fact that this board is a twin, this board floats just as well as a tapered directional. The Coreless tech creates a lower swing-weight.

Details

PROFILE

  • Powderhull
The 3D Powder Hull optimizes powder riding by placing a concave in the nose and tail of the board. While driving in powder snow, you will notice air coming under the front for more lift and float (just like a surfboard's spoon nose). While the back releases the air and drops further down as a result.

CORE

  • Weightless Core
The weightless core strikes a critical balance between lightweight and strength. Using a lower density species of Poplar in areas that are not as structural and Paulownia in the areas that are, we’re able to shave precious weight off boards designed to surface-fly.

  • CoreLess Tech
Lighter, better turning and more buoyancy. By omitting the core in the tip and tail, the limitations of shapes have also been removed. This has created the possibility for YES to accommodate a powder hull in the 20/20. A freestyle board with a lot of float. Your freestyle tricks in the backcountry are no longer a utopia.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 3-dimensional fiberglass at a 45-degree angle. 3-dimensional fiberglass provides good torsional rigidity. This provides stability and response and is often used in boards for the more experienced rider.

BASE

  • Sintered True base
A sintered base is made from grains of coarse powder that are pressed until they form a solid. Genuine sintered base is harder and more expensive than extruded base. It can therefore be faster for those who drive aggressively and fast, provided the base is waxed according to the circumstances.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Midbite
Midbite is made for tight turns and stable landings. The steel edge between the inserts falls slightly inwards. The result is weight savings and a faster edge change due to the narrower waist. In addition, it provides more grip on icy terrain and the wider tip and tail for stable jumps and landings.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.
