What is splitboarding?

During splitboarding you use a special snowboard and skins to climb the mountain yourself. A splitboard is a snowboard that you can split lengthways into two for the ascent. Perfect for snowboarders who want to combine the freedom of touring with snowboarding. Head uphill through pristine mountain terrain in search of that perfect run.

What to look for when buying a splitboard?

If you're going to buy splitboard equipment, it's important to know the minimum you need for a splitboard setup: splitboard, bindings, ride interface, tour interface, skins and crampons. Make sure all these items are compatible. Important things to know when buying splitboard equipment:

• If you buy a splitboard with an interface, this is a ride interface. The tour interface is therefore NOT included. The ride interface is used to set your binding to ride mode.
• If you buy a splitboard binding at Snowcountry, a tour interface is always included. Whether a ride interface is also included varies by brand. You use the tour interface to convert your binding to tour mode
