We also have several bottles made of hardened plastic combined with a water filter. One advantage of plastic is that it is lightweight. Additionally, there are flexible bottles made of durable TPU. The abbreviation stands for 'Thermoplastic Polyurethane,' or flexible plastic. This material is lightweight and can be compactly stored when you are out of water. However, flexible bottles usually do not last as long.
Water bottle for travel
Are you looking for a water bottle for your trip? The range of reusable water bottles is huge, so which bottle should you choose? We are happy to help you in your search for the best drinking bottle for you.
What do you put in your water bottle?
A water bottle, or drinking bottle, is not just for drinking water. Drinking bottles are also suitable for tea, coffee, soft drinks, and other beverages. Worried that the coffee taste will linger in the bottle? There's no need for that! The materials in the drinking bottles in our assortment are chosen to ensure they do not absorb flavors, odors, or colors. This way, you can use the same bottle for water, tea, and coffee. However, it is important to keep the bottle clean.
Good to know: Many drinking bottles are dishwasher safe
Material of your water bottle
In the Snowcountry webshop, you will find many water bottles made of stainless steel. The material is robust and durable. These bottles can withstand a bump and last a long time. Furthermore, this material does not absorb odor or taste. Basically perfect for outdoor adventures.
Good to know: All water bottles in the Snowcountry webshop are BPA-free
Lightweight drinking bottles
Does every gram count for you and do you want to travel light? Several brands have a lightweight series. For example, look at the Hydro Flask lightweight and Stanley Aerolight series. The bottles are at least 25% lighter than other stainless steel bottles. However, the material is slightly more fragile.
Size of your drinking bottle
Drinking bottles come in various sizes, from 250 ml to 2 liters. The size you need depends on your usage. We find that bottles between 600 ml and 1 liter are most popular. If you're out for a day, 600 milliliters might be a bit too little, but a drinking bottle up to 1 liter is generally comfortable and easy to carry.
If you're on the go and taking your bottle with you, try to think about how much water you need. Is there, for example, an opportunity to refill your drinking bottle along the way, so you need to carry less water? Consider natural water sources such as a stream or a lake. In that case, you might choose a drinking bottle with a water filter.
Drinking system for long trips
Are you going on a long trip or running a considerable distance? Then a drinking system might be interesting. Some backpacks have space for a drinking system, allowing you to easily take a sip without stopping. Because the drinking system is close to your back, you can comfortably carry the extra kilos. This way, you can carry more liters of water than in a drinking bottle.
Keep your drinks warm or cold!
Insulated drinking bottles keep your coffee, tea, or other hot beverages warm for hours. Ideal on a cold winter day. Moreover, the insulation also keeps your drinks cool during summer days. This way, your drink stays at a good temperature during your trip.
Which cap do you choose?
The cap you choose depends on your personal drinking preference. There are drinking bottles with a screw cap, straw, or sports spout. For some brands, separate caps are also available, allowing you to add your favorite cap to your favorite bottle easily. Check out Hydro Flask, Klean Kanteen, and Camelbak for this.
