Splitboard poles

If you're going splitboarding, folding splitboard poles are practically indispensable. They support you while skinning up the mountain, and on the descent you can stow them compactly in or on your backpack.

What are splitboard poles?

Splitboard poles are designed to provide support while climbing and traversing with your splitboard. Unlike “standard” ski poles, splitboard poles are lightweight, height-adjustable and compactly foldable. This lets you easily adapt the poles to changing backcountry conditions.

Why do you need splitboard poles?

When touring you climb with a splitboard. To maintain balance, especially on steep or icy sections, splitboard poles are indispensable.

What is the difference between splitboard poles and “standard” ski poles?

Splitboard poles are designed to give stability while climbing and traversing. The poles are:

  • Compactly foldable, so you can store them easily during the descent.
  • Height-adjustable, so you can adapt the poles to the terrain.
  • Made from lightweight materials, such as carbon or aluminium.
  • Equipped with ergonomic handles, for a comfortable grip.
  • Large basket, for more grip on the snow.

Carbon or aluminium splitboard poles

For long tours carbon is preferable because it is lighter. Aluminium, on the other hand, is stronger.
