Find a ski binding that suits you and your skiing style. From alpine to freestyle and from freeride to touring ski bindings. We have ski bindings for every skier and set-up.
Ski bindings are the connection between you and your skis. The bindings provide control and power transfer. Which ski binding suits you depends on your skiing style, level and the terrain you’ll be riding. At Snowcountry you’ll find ski bindings for alpine, freeride, freestyle and touring.
Alpine ski bindings are for piste and all-mountain skiers. The bindings offer high power transfer and optimal safety. Ideal for speed and carving on hard snow. Alpine ski bindings are for anyone who enjoys skiing on the piste.
Bindings for off-piste skiers and powder lovers. The bindings have more elasticity and lateral movement allowance for rough descents. In addition, freeride bindings are built strong for jumps, drops and challenging terrain. Some models also have a hike mode, allowing you to use the binding as a touring binding as well.
For skiers who enjoy the park, jibbing, spins and tricks. Freestyle ski bindings have a low stance on the ski, giving you more feel and control. They are also built light and compact for manoeuvrability. The construction is robust to absorb the impact of rails, boxes and kickers.
These bindings are intended for ski tourers who like to head into the backcountry. No lift to get up the mountain, but walking up under your own power. Touring bindings have ski mode and hike mode for both skiing and touring uphill.
These are freeride bindings with hike mode. This way these bindings offer good performance on the descent and efficient walking uphill.
The DIN value is a number that tells how much force is needed for your boot to release from the binding. If you’re going to buy a ski binding it’s important to know which DIN value you have. Read more about this in our Snowhow about determining your DIN settings.
When you buy ski bindings it’s important that your DIN value falls within the binding's DIN range. You can find the DIN range in the product description.
The maximum DIN of a ski binding is always shown in the product name, for example the Salomon Strive 14 or Atomic Shift 13. Our general advice is to choose a ski binding with a maximum DIN of 12, 13 or 14. Only choose a lower DIN if you’re on a tight budget and you weigh less than 70 kg. The reason for this is that bindings with a DIN of 12 or higher generally have better build quality, which benefits durability and reliability.
A higher DIN is only relevant if you ski at competition level or are a very powerful and heavy skier.
