Thermal underwear materials

If you're going to buy a thermo baselayer you can choose from synthetic, recycled polyester, wool or Merino wool. At Snowcountry we always prefer Merino wool. Merino wool feels soft on the skin, dries quickly, regulates temperature changes and has excellent breathability. In addition, Merino wool doesn't cause an itchy or prickly feeling and helps reduce unpleasant odors.

Recycled polyester is sometimes combined with Merino wool, giving it similar properties. Still, synthetic materials perform less well against the skin when it comes to moisture regulation and odor.
