At Snowcountry you'll find technical jackets where the focus is on the clothing's functionality. You'll find waterproof (Gore-Tex) hardshell jackets, comfortable softshells, windstoppers and warm down jackets. Which type of jacket you need depends on what you're going to do.

When you buy a jacket from us it's important to think about which features matter to you and what is important for the activity you'll be doing.

Men's shell jackets

Shell jackets form a protective outer layer. They provide optimal protection against wind, rain and snow. At Snowcountry you'll find three types of men's shell jackets:

• 3L hardshell jackets
• 2L shell jackets
• 2.5L light shell jackets

3L hardshell jackets

3-layer hardshells are wind- and waterproof jackets with high breathability. They give you optimal protection against wind, rain and snow, while the material is able to transport moisture outwards. This means you can use a hardshell jacket all year round.

2L shell jackets

2-layer shell jackets are often wind- and waterproof, but unlike a hardshell have a separate mesh lining. The lining provides more comfort against the skin and is not removable.

2.5L light shell jackets

These are lightweight shell jackets with very high breathability. Perfect for very active sportitivities or for more summery conditions. Often the 2.5 shell jackets are wind- and waterproof, and otherwise water-repellent. 

Softshell jackets

Do you want plenty of freedom of movement and a jacket that feels good against the skin? Softshell jackets offer exactly that. You'll see softshells a lot in alpine sports, but also on touring trips in good, dry conditions. It's important to know that a softshell is usually water-repellent, but not 100% waterproof. So a men's softshell jacket does not provide 100% protection against rain and snow.

Insulated jackets

In our range you'll find insulated snowboard and ski jackets from top brands such as Kjus, Peak Performance and The North Face. Most insulated jackets in our collection are wind- and waterproof. If that is not the case, you'll find this noted in the product description.

Down jackets

As the name suggests, these jackets are filled with down. A down jacket is lightweight and offers a lot of warmth and comfort. Most down jackets are not waterproof.
