Technical men's clothing

At Snowcountry you'll find men's clothing for those who like to be outdoors and want to be prepared for varying weather conditions. Technical clothing is built with functionality as its foundation. Whether you're hiking, skiing, snowboarding or touring, the right technical clothing keeps you comfortably warm.

Shell jackets and pants

A technical shell jacket and pants protect against snow, wind and rain. The focus is on protection. A true hardshell (3L) has no lining and therefore provides no warmth. That's why you always combine a hardshell jacket and pants for men with a base layer (thermal) and an additional insulating midlayer. Looking for 100% wind- and waterproof men's clothing? Then choose a hardshell.

Softshells

Our collection also includes softshells for men. Softshell clothing is water-repellent and very comfortable to move in.

Midlayers for insulation

Midlayers are vests, insulated vests, hoodies, pullovers and pants. They are garments that retain heat without restricting your freedom of movement. You use midlayers as a warm outer layer or as an intermediate layer under a hardshell. In the latter case the midlayer is the lining (insulation layer) you add. Depending on how warm you want to be, choose a midlayer with a lower or higher insulation value.

Thermal underwear

Thermal underwear is worn directly against the skin and provides warmth as well as moisture wicking. When you get warm and start to sweat, a good thermal layer quickly wicks the moisture away, preventing your clothing from becoming damp and clammy. This helps you stay dry and warm.

Layering clothing

When wearing technical clothing, use the three-layer system. In this system, you dress layer by layer, with each layer having its own function to contribute to warmth and comfort during outdoor activities.

  • Layer 1: Thermal underwear for warmth and moisture wicking.
  • Layer 2: Midlayer as an insulating layer that you adjust according to the conditions.
  • Layer 3: Hardshell as a protective outer layer that shields you from wind, rain, and snow.
