Women's shell jackets

Shell jackets form a protective outer layer. They offer excellent protection against wind, rain and snow. At Snowcountry you can find three types of women's shell jackets:

• 3L hardshell jackets
• 2L shell jackets
• 2.5L light shell jackets

3L hardshell jackets

3-layer hardshells are wind- and waterproof jackets with high breathability. They protect you optimally against the elements while the material can transport moisture to the outside. This means you can use a hardshell jacket all year round, from skiing and snowboarding to summer trips in the mountains.

2L shell jackets

2-layer shell jackets are often wind- and waterproof, but unlike hardshells they have a separate mesh lining. This lining provides extra comfort against the skin but is not removable.

2.5L light shell jackets

These lightweight shell jackets have very high breathability. They are ideal for intensive outdoor sports or for use in milder and summer conditions. Often 2.5L shell jackets are wind- and waterproof, otherwise water-repellent.

Softshell jackets

If you want lots of freedom of movement and a jacket that feels comfortable, a softshell jacket is the right choice. Softshells are often used for alpine sports or on tours in dry conditions. Bear in mind that softshell jackets are usually water-repellent but not fully waterproof. So a women's softshell jacket won't provide 100% protection against rain and snow.

Insulated jackets

Our collection also includes insulated ski and snowboard jackets from top brands such as Kjus, Peak Performance and The North Face. Most insulated women's jackets in our range are wind- and waterproof. If that's not the case, this will always be clearly stated in the product description.

Down jackets

Down jackets are lightweight, warm and very comfortable. They are perfect as an insulating layer in cold conditions. Keep in mind that most down jackets are not fully waterproof.
