Shell jackets and pants

A technical shell jacket or pair of pants protects you from wind, snow and rain. The focus of this type of clothing is protection. A true hardshell (3-layer) has no lining and therefore does not provide warmth. That’s why you always wear a hardshell in combination with thermal underwear and, if needed, an insulating midlayer. Looking for 100% waterproof and windproof women’s clothing? Then a hardshell is the right choice.

Softshells

In our collection you’ll also find softshells for women. Softshell clothing is water-repellent and offers great freedom of movement. Ideal when full waterproofing is less important, but warmth and comfort matter more.

Midlayers for insulation

Midlayers are the insulating layer under a hardshell, or can be worn as an outer layer in drier weather. A midlayer keeps you warm while maintaining optimal freedom of movement. Choose from vests, bodywarmers, hoodies and pullovers. Which midlayer suits you best depends on how warm you like it and what you find comfortable.

Thermal underwear / thermal clothing

Thermal underwear is worn directly on the skin. It provides warmth and helps wick away moisture such as sweat. This prevents your clothing from feeling clammy and keeps you dry and comfortable during active outdoor pursuits. A good thermal layer is the foundation of any technical layering system.

Dressing layer by layer: the three-layer system

To get the most out of technical clothing, it’s important to combine layers: 

• Layer 1 – Thermal underwear: provides warmth and wicks away moisture.
• Layer 2 – Midlayer: traps body heat and provides insulation, depending on your activity and the weather conditions.
• Layer 3 – Hardshell: protects against wind, snow and rain.
