The floor mat, also known as the footprint, is an essential piece of equipment to guarantee the durability of your tent.
When you leave snow-covered terrain during trekking trips and other outings where the terrain is uncertain, a footprint is strongly recommended. This will serve as a first layer of protection against potential pebbles or dry, sharp grasses that could pierce any tent floor.
Each side of the floor mat has a specific coating. The part in direct contact with the floor is siliconized to greatly facilitate water flow in case of heavy rain and increase abrasion resistance. The surface in contact with the tent is covered with a PU coating which, thanks to its sticky surface, keeps the two fabrics from slipping on each other.
