Quick overview

We created the Winterland for riders who appreciate a high-quality turn in any type of snow conditions. It’s for riders who lap buffed out groomed trails and who want the freedom to venture into the sidecountry to float the less common, semi-secret lines. Our unique Free-The- Ride camber creates a feel that lets riders do two things that open up the entire mountain: rip fast, clean carves on packed snow and surf through powder with float in the nose and power in the tail.

PROFILE

  • Free-the-ride

Design: we integrate three distinct zones of camber in this shape. From the tail to just in front of the front foot, we use positive camber for the tail and mid body. In front of the front foot, we use a section of flat camber that transitions into a moderate amount of rocker in nose.

Defining feel: this is a highly versatile camber for freeriders who appreciate groomers, powder and variable snow. The positive camber section under foot and in the tail drives the power and edge control. The flat section keeps enough downward pressure on the contact points in the nose for proper turn initiation. And the rocker in the nose delivers the float in pow. The combination is a feel that rips carves and surfs in deeper conditions.

  • Directional

For those all-mountain and powder riders with a strong freeride perspective, our directional shapes have noses that are longer than tails and flex patterns with more stiffness in the tail. For some of these shapes, we also incorporate taper in the tail so that the nose is wider than the tail. Many times, we match up some of our directional cambers like free-the-ride or powder cambers with these directional shapes. There is nothing twin about the shape of flex of these designs.

CORE

  • Superpop core matrix

The lightweight, super responsive core found in many of our higher performing boards, this matrix features poplar for power and three zones of low-density wood for lightness.

  • Turborod technology

Tech that loads up energy and drives targeted response
Carbon is light and super poppy. Not a brand to just throw some carbon tape in a board, we take a unique approach to how we use carbon to improve response. We mill channels in targeted areas of the core and place a sleeve inside the channel. Then we insert a thin rod of carbon inside the sleeve and anchor the carbon rod at the end of the channel closest to the midpoint of the board. This allows the other end of the carbon to move in and out of the sleeve and load up more energy. When the storage of energy is released, it releases cleanly without vibration to increase power and pop for the board.

BASE

  • Sintertrue base

Baseline sintered speed to drive our mid-range freestyle and freeride boards. Plenty of wax absorption from the sintered structure.

TOPSHEET

  • 45/90 carbon hybrid laminate

Driving the performance of the all-mountain destruction of the blur, this laminate adds carbon for pop and lightness into a matrix that features 45 degree glass for edge power and 90 degree glass for added freestyle feel.
