Karakoram splitboard bindings, founded in 2008 by twin brothers dreaming to make their passion into a career. Both brothers have a degree in mechenical engineering and spend most of their lives in the mountains. This combination motivated them to start making the best splitboard hardware out there. In a time where the splitboard systems were far from ideal (for both acending and decending), they designed a completely new system.

The Karakoram split 30 system

The Karakoram splitboard system is a complete system, no other parts are needed. No voile interface kits or voile pucks. All you need is a splitboard, a pair of Karakoram bindings and skins. Riding with the karakoram bindings feels very close to riding with your normal board and bindings. Swiching between ride and tour mode is super-easy: With the click of a handle, your binding is free and locked in again. Courious about the system? Check this youtube movie.

Karakoram and Jeremy Jones

Since August 2011, Jeremy Jones is involved in the development of Karakoram. Jeremy needs no introduction. With his splitboarding endeavors he has been one of the powers behind the current splitboarding trend.

Handmade in the USA

Karakoram splitboard bindings are handmade in the USA by Tyler and Bryce, the two brothers. 91% of all parts are made in washington state. In an eara where the big brands outsource everything to Asia, Karakoram is still a real local company.
