  • If you order skis including bindings that need to be mounted, we will do everything we can to mount your skis the same day. In some cases, shipping may take 1-2 business days longer depending on how busy it is. Busy periods include Mondays, Black Friday, the week before Christmas break and the week before spring break. Fortunately, the Cool Bean is still available in the split variant: The K2 Split Bean. One of the nicest boards from K2 in recent years. The K2 Cool Bean was/is a unique shape with a unique character and one of the first boards to introduce the short fun shape concept to the snowboard scene. The Split Bean rides like a shortboard surfboard in the powder and carves like a beast on the slopes.

Details

PROFILE

  • Directional Rocker Profile
    A flat-to-rocker shape. Flat under and between the bindings, with rocker from the bindings to the tip and tail. Featuring more rocker in the tip than the tail. Easy to rotate on-piste, with still plenty of float in the powder.

  • Volume Shift
    K2 moved volume from the tips and tails of traditional snowboard shapes and placed it underfoot where it can be better controlled. This makes a wider, shorter design that maintains the same float and stability of a traditional board, but increases mobility and maneuverability. More slashing and better lines in the trees are now a reality.

    K2 blended three species of renewable timber to assemble a core that’s strong, lightweight, and designed to enhance dampening without the addition of other materials.
