  • For delivery we depend on our transport partners. We can therefore not give a 100% guarantee about the delivery day. Our experience is that in 95% of cases the package is delivered on the predicted day. (UPS Standard and DHL Standard).
  • If you order skis including bindings that need to be mounted, we will do everything we can to mount your skis the same day. In some cases, shipping may take 1-2 business days longer depending on how busy it is. Busy periods include Mondays, Black Friday, the week before Christmas break and the week before spring break.   • If you place an order for multiple products with different delivery time indications, the delivery time indication of the product with the longest delivery time applies.

The Jones Women's Mind Expander is an alternative all-mountain board that wants to slash every terrain feature in sight. Surf shaper Chris Christenson and Jeremy Jones designed the Mind Expander for the creative rider who draws lines blending freestyle, freeride and surf styles. For playful float in pow the Mind Expander features a Surf Rocker profile, SPOON 3.0 base contours and a hybrid directional shape. The blunted nose, full size tail and tight sidecut offer the nimble maneuverability of a directional board matched with the freestyle abilities of a directional twin.

PROFILE

  • Christenson Surf Rocker
    Custom tip/tail rocker profile designed by surf shaper chris christenson for the Mind Expanders, Mountain Surfer and Storm Chasers. The nose rocker starts just inside of the front inserts and the tail rocker starts just at the back inserts. When you weight the tail of the board the nose ramps up out of the snow for insane float on the deepest days. These subtle rocker contours match a christenson surfboard rocker profile.

  • 3D Contour Base 3.0
    Freeride nose with 7mm spoon and 0 to 7mm spoon in the tail. The spoon starts where the rocker starts. This ensures a better glide, smooth edge change and float.

  • Blunt Nose
    Wider capped nose. As a result, you plow less through the snow and it looks like you have a longer nose. You also get a lower swing rate.

CORE

  • FSC Bamboo Surf Core
    Triple core of mainly Bamboo and Paulownia stringers. Strategically placed for better edge grip and quick edge change.

  • Flax/Basalt Power Stringers
    New Jones exclusive sustainable stringer made with 100% natural fibers. Composite Flax and Basalt stringer helps transfer power to the edges, improves torsional response and absorbs board chatter.

  • Forever Flex
    Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps stabilise the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.

  • Super Sap Bio Resin
    All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are coproducts or waste products of other plant based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy.

TOPSHEET

  • Eco-Plastic Topsheet
    Made from Castor beans. Also called wonder beans. This Eco-friendly material is ultra-light, more scratch-resistant and water and snow resistant. 

  • Biax Fiberglass
    2-dimensional fiberglass layer therefore less stiff, which ensures a comfortable and playful character.

  • Carving Pack Inserts
    Extra set of carving inserts for a more centered position on your board. Made for days on fresh groomers.

BASE

  • Sintered 8000 Base
    Super strong, durable and fast base which is relatively easy to repair due to the combination of Polyethylene and Carbon UHMW-PE. Slightly less wax absorption compared to the 9900 version.

  • Wend Natural Wax
    Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.

  • Factory Tuned
    All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.

SIDEWALL

  • Oversized Recycled Edges
    All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.

  • Recycled ABS
    Jones recycles as much of the base materials as possible to minimize the impact on the environment. So the base of the board above can be 'inverted' (flipped). By always reversing the colors of the base, as little base material as possible is wasted. We cannot therefore promise you a base variant as we also receive them differently.

  • Progressive Sidecut
    By increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact points, the board gets a smooth entry and exit phase during your turns.

  • Traction Tech
    Traction Tech is the Jones equivalent of the better known Magne-Traction. Traction-Tech is a slight wave in the steel side. This gives more grip, because it cuts deeper and sharper in snow or ice. Traction-Tech comes in 3 variants from Jones: 1.0, 2.0, 3.0. The number stands for the number of undulations per steel edge. More undulations means more grip, but also a more aggressive character of the board.
