In detail
PROFILE
- Directional camber-rocker
A hybrid camber/rocker flex pattern defined by more tip rocker than tail rocker and camber between the bindings. The rockered tip floats the board’s nose and improves maneuverability, while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. A slightly rockered tail maintains the power and stability of a traditional board but helps to keep the tail catch-free, initiate turns, and land switch.
- 3D Contour Base 3.0
Freeride nose with 7mm spoon and 0 to 7mm spoon in the tail. The spoon starts where the rocker starts. This ensures a better glide, smooth edge change and float.
- Blunt Nose
Wider capped nose. As a result, you plow less through the snow and it looks like you have a longer nose. You also get a lower swing rate.
CORE
- FSC Split Ultra Core
Ultralight and ultra durable triple density wood core designed exclusively for splitboards. Hardwood stringers positioned at the edges deliver supreme response and durability.
- Flax/Basalt Power Stringers
New Jones exclusive sustainable stringer made with 100% natural fibers. Composite Flax and Basalt stringer helps transfer power to the edges, improves torsional response and absorbs board chatter.
- Super Sap Bio Resin
All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are coproducts or waste products of other plant based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy.
- Forever Flex
Forever Flex is a new manufacturing process that helps stabilise the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.
TOPSHEET
- Textured Eco-Plastic Topsheet
Made from Castor beans, also known as wonder beans. This Eco-friendly material is ultra-light and also more scratch-resistant and water- and snow-resistant. Equipped with a mild texture for extra grip and durability.
- Triax Fiberglass
Multi-axis, stitched fiberglass laminate that ofers a precise and responsive ride in any terrain or snow conditions.
- Stainless Steel Reinforcements
Stainless steel plates are embedded into the nose and tail for improved board tip durability.
BASE
- Sintered 9900 Base
Super strong, durable and fast base which is relatively easy to repair due to the combination of Polyethylene and Carbon UHMW-PE.
- Wend Natural Wax
Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
- Factory Tuned
All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.
SIDEWALL
- Oversized Recycled Edges
All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.
- Thin Recycled Edges
Advancements in ski edge durability allow us to use thinner edges on splitboard inside edges (and Project X outside edges) to save weight. Outside edges are 2mm, inside edges are 1.5mm.
- Recycled Rounded ABS
New rounded sidewall finish that improves board durability by protecting topsheet from chipping. Available on all splitboards and surf series models.
- Progressive Sidecut
By increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact points, the board gets a smooth entry and exit phase during your turns.
- Inner Traction Tech
Traction Tech for splitboards. The steel edges on the inside also have traction tech. This results in more grip during splitting.
SPLITBOARD TECH
- Quick Tension Tail
The Quick Tension Tail Clip is a lightweight tail clip system designed to fit all 2016 and newer Jones splitboards. Jones splitboards have a notch cut into the tail of both skis that allows the Quick Tension Tail Clip to simply slide into the notch and secure the skin.
- Jones Bolt-less Bridge
The Bolt-less Bridge eliminates split clip attachment hardware from the base of the board by re-profiling the wood core at the clips. The wood core under the clips is thicker providing better torsional stifness and a more powerful connection at the split clips.
- Karakoram Ultraclip 2.0
Karakoram Ultraclips got lighter and tighten the boardhalves to eachother. The 2.0 version makes it easy to bring tension back on the board halves.
- Karakoram Tip-Lock Tip Clips
Every splitboarder knows the feeling – you drop into a firm line and your tip clip pops open! Never again. Using Active Joining Technology, the Karakoram Tip-Lock Tip Clips quickly lock and clamp the tips of your splitboard with the flick of the lever.
