The Hestra Army Leather Heli Ski 5 Finger is their most well-known glove. This warm, durable five-finger ski glove was developed for long days in snow and cold. Its grippy goat-leather palm, replaceable liner and long protective cuff make it a reliable choice for skiers who spend extended periods away from resort facilities.
In detail
Originally developed for ski guides in western Canada, the Army Leather Heli Ski 5 Finger combines durable goat leather with a waterproof three-layer polyamide fabric on the back of the hand. Its Eagle Grip construction provides excellent grip and feel while maintaining the dexterity needed to handle equipment. The removable liner can be replaced when damp or changed to suit different temperatures and activity levels. A long cuff with snow lock, an elasticated wrist and an adjustable Velcro strap help retain warmth and keep snow outside. Included handcuffs reduce the risk of losing the gloves, while the carabiner and finger loop allow them to be hung with the openings facing down.
This dependable glove is made for long days in harsh winter conditions, both around and far beyond the ski resort.
Hestra
The story of Hestra began in 1936 in Småland, Sweden. It was here that Martin Magnusson established a small workshop, producing gloves for local lumberjacks. As winter sports gained popularity in the region, the focus gradually shifted towards ski gloves. Over the following decades, what began as a small family business developed into an internationally renowned glove manufacturer, firmly rooted in the Swedish tradition of craftsmanship.
Today, four generations later, Hestra remains in the hands of the Magnusson family. Design and development still take place in the Swedish village from which the brand takes its name. Through carefully selected materials, its own production facilities and decades of expertise, Hestra maintains control over quality and finishing. This dedication to craftsmanship has been at the heart of the brand since 1936.
