Quick overview

The GB Split is a compilation of all the Goodboards freeride shapes. This split is about 80% camber and 20% rocker. The longer nose and its setback of 3 cm make this split a powder machine. Goodboards distinguishes itself from its competitors by its durability. The thicker graphite base and sustainable production by hand ensure a splitboard that can take a blow.

PROFILE

  • Nose Rocker
    Camber between the feet for control and pop. The tail is flattened for maximum float in powder and landing stability.

CORE

  • Double Wood Core
    Two different types of wood laminates pressed together to offer a more versatile and vibrant core.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Aramide
    Part of the nylon family, aramid is commonly used as a ballistical rated body armor fabric. It’s also the perfect counterpart to carbon and basalt and is systematically used in conjunction with both to deliver excellent shock absorption.

  • Triaxal Basalt
    Stronger and lighter than fiberglass and with more elasticity than carbon, basalt fibers enhance power and stability while removing vibrations.

  • Carbon-Kevlar Power Stringers
    A carbon mat that is interwoven with glass fiber under the binding. This carbon mat absorbs chatter and provides stability in choppy terrain.

BASE

  • Sintered Graphite Nivylen Base
    Nivylen is a completely new plastic that was specifically developed for ski or snowboard coverings in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Nivylen is lighter, harder and more resistant than traditional bases.
