Tents for outdoor adventures

If you're going camping or trekking in nature, a good tent is indispensable. At Snowcountry you'll find lightweight tents for those who count every gram and robust 4-season tents for year-round use.

What to consider when buying a tent

If you're buying a tent, it's important to think in advance about the conditions you plan to use it in. Depending on that you choose a 2-, 3- or 4-season tent, or an expedition tent for extreme conditions.

2-season tent

A 2-season tent is designed for spring or summer with warmer weather. These tents offer plenty of ventilation and protection against insects.

3-season tent

If you expect more variable conditions with rain and wind, we usually recommend choosing a 3-season tent. A 3-season tent also has a raised edge, making it more resistant to mud than a 2-season tent. A 3-season tent is suitable for camping in spring, summer, autumn and even mild winter conditions.

4-season tent

A 4-season tent is suitable year-round. These tents provide extra insulation and strength. The tent protects you from heavy rain, strong winds and snow.

Expedition tent

Expedition tents are intended for extreme conditions such as camping in high mountains or expeditions to the polar regions.

How to choose the right tent size?

Which size tent you need depends on what you'll be doing and how many people. If you're camping solo and want to be as lightweight as possible, you'll naturally choose a 1-person tent. If weight is less important, you can opt for a 2-person tent. The extra space gives a bit more comfort and room for your luggage.

Don't buy a tent that's too big

Although a little extra space can be comfortable, it's not practical to buy a tent that's too large. Especially at lower temperatures it can be harder to keep warm inside the tent. If you'd like a bit more space and comfort, choose a tent with capacity for one extra person.
