  • Payment Methods

    The payment methods available vary from country to country. At checkout you will see the available payment options after selecting the delivery country. We do not charge any payment fees.

    To pay via IBAN bank transfer, you can contact our customer service. Please do not transfer money without contacting our customer service first. We will send you an invoice after which you can make the payment. Processing a bank transfer can take 1 to 3 days. We ship the products after the bank transfer is processed. Our payment details are:

  • Pricing and Discount

    We keep a close eye on our market and always try to offer the best possible price. As a result, prices may fluctuate regularly. We don't use planned discounts and therefore can't tell you when a product is undergoing a price change. If you have purchased a product online and it undergoes a price decrease on our website within 7 days of ordering from us, we will match the price retroactively on request and credit the difference. The condition is that the product ordered by you, in color and/or size combination, is still in stock at the time of the promotion.

    We do not negotiate on price. At Snowcountry, we believe everyone deserves the same price, so we don't offer additional discounts through general promotion codes or membership fees.

    Of course we do our best to always offer all our products as competitively priced as possible. Our philosophy is to be the best winter sports shop in Europe by delivering the best products, fast delivery, quick response to questions, good follow-up service, guarantees and of course our expertise.

  • Discount Codes and Coupons

    If you have received a discount code from us, you can apply it to your shopping cart. The discount is then immediately visible.

    Discount codes on other websites
    We do not issue general discount codes to affiliate websites. Unfortunately there are a number of websites that claim to have a discount code for our online store but these do not work. We do not cooperate with or have influence over these parties.

  • VAT

    All our prices are inclusive of VAT. For customers outside the EU, all prices are shown without VAT by default. For non-EU customers, VAT is settled at the local rate on delivery together with the import costs.

    For customers of non-EU countries (e.g. UK, Switzerland, Norway, Canada, United States and Japan), VAT is automatically deducted from the total price. When finalizing your order you will see no VAT displayed with your total order amount.

    Please note that the VAT of the country of delivery + the import duties will be charged to you upon delivery.

    UK: (from january 2021) 20% VAT + import duties (depending on product category ranging from 2%-15%) + £ 13 brokerage fee. More about ordering from the UK.

    Norway: (from October 2012): 25% VAT + NOK 165.00 brokerage fee and depending on product category import duties. You can use the Import and Duty calculator on Toll.no
    Canada: goods are subject to the federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) or, in certain provinces and territories, the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). For most goods, like skis and snowboards, you don't pay additional import duties. You can lookup the tariffs at CBSA or contact the Border Information Service.
    Australia: When your order is below A$1000 excluding shipping costs you don't pay import duties and GST. When the order value ex. shipping costs goes over A$1000 you might be charged 10% GST, import duties and handling fees. More information can be found at the Australian Border Force.
    New Zealand: When your order is below NZ$1000 excluding shipping costs you don't pay import duties and GST. When the order value excl. shipping costs goes over NZ$1000 you might be charged 15% GST, import duties, entry fees and handling fees.     1. In order to correctly display the shipping costs, the delivery address and country must be filled in correctly.
    2. It is not possible for us to keep up with all the customs regulations around the world. Always inform yourself to avoid unexpected import costs. We are not responsible for any additional import and customs costs.
    3. Once the order is shipped from our warehouse, the possible VAT and import duties will be due. The shipment can not be cancelled or refused without significant costs and delays.
  • Export, Tax Free and VAT refund

    If you are going to export a newly purchased product to a country outside the EU, you can ask us for a VAT refund. For a proper refund we always need the original paper invoice with a customs export stamp, a scan or photo is not enough. Please note we'll need the stamp on the invoice and not your order confirmation. You can send the original stamped invoice to:

    Conditions of eligibility for VAT refund

    1. Your order is delivered within the EU.
    2. You are demonstrably resident outside the EU.
    3. Invoice value is € 150 or more.
    4. You have to show the invoice and products to customs yourself.
    5. You must export the products within 3 months of purchase.
    6. Without a stamped paper invoice we will not be able to refund VAT.
    7. We can only refund to the payment method used to pay for the order.
    8. Processing a VAT refund takes a maximum of 30 days.

    Please note that this method is not the same as tax-free shopping (via e.g. Global Blue). You will not receive any tax-free documents from us that will get you a VAT refund from customs. We will refund the VAT to you after we have received the stamped invoice from you as proof of export. The way it works can differ per country and airport, so make sure you know where and how you can get the export stamp. We are not responsible for not being able to obtain an export stamp.

  • Payment Failed or Refused

    If your credit card payment is refused, there are several reasons for this. Frequent causes:

    • The most common reason is too little credit or a low limit
    • Creditcard company is blocking payments to the Netherlands (happens regularly with US banks)
    • The entered card information and/or 3D secure code is incorrect
    • Name and address differ from the information on the credit card
    • The country where the credit card is issued differs from the country where the order is being placed from (e.g. ordering from France with an English credit card)
    • You are ordering from a country that is marked as a high-risk country
    • A restriction has been imposed by the credit card provider

    If the payment fails, check that all the details entered are correct and that your limit is high enough. In some cases, you will first have to inform your bank of major transactions to the Netherlands. If you still need help, please contact us.

    Klarna payment
    Once you choose Klarna Pay Later, a check will be made to see if you can order for the chosen amount. With this check, Klarna looks at three factors, namely: your payment history with Klarna, the amount, and in some cases external information from a credit agency. It is a combination of factors that determine whether the purchase can be approved. If you have never ordered from Klarna before, high basket values will in most cases be rejected.

    If you are unable to pay later with Klarna, you can complete the order by choosing another payment option.

    If you choose to pay with PayPal, you must log in to PayPal. If payment is unsuccessful, check whether you are using the correct login details for your PayPal account and whether the linked credit card or bank account is still active.
