Quick overview

Scotty Stevens still has one of the most unique riding styles you will ever see; one-footers and jibbing the most random objects are right up his alley. That is exactly what the Scott Stevens Pro is made for. Similar to the previous years, the shape is a flat twin with a medium flex. The core is made for even more damping, pop and durability. This board is designed for the creative soul who just wants to jib it all and demolish the entire park.

PROFILE

  • Park V2 Profile
The Park V2 profile has a flatbase between the bindings, with rocker at the nose and tail. This creates a skate-like feel when snowboarding. The nose and tail have been given an uplift (Wah-Pow!) for more float in the powder, allowing a more catch-free ride.

  • Flat Kick Tech
With capita’s flat kick design technology, we’ve tightened the tip profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height on reverse camber boards. The tight tip radius in conjunction with tuned blend zones allows you to have a forgiving and easy to ride reverse camber board that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions. This also creates a flat tip and tail which increases jibbing stability and also helps the board plane on top of powder creating float and control.

CORE

  • Cork Inlayed Pro Core 2.0
The cork inlaid pro core was engineered specifically for scott’s unique riding style allowing an extreme mix of dampening and durability with the energy required for spontaneous and creative riding. Comprised of an even mix of poplar and paulownia wood with cork recessed into 30% of the top of the core, the cork inlaid pro core is the damp and durable core custom made to meet the needs of sleepy stevens himself.

  • Technora + Flax Boosters
With an excellent tensile strength and fatigue resistance, Technora is an aramid fiber that functions as a shock absorber and energy source when integrated into a snowboard construction layup. New for the 2019 collection, we have interwoven Technora with an extremely lightweight and all natural Flax fiber to invigorate every construction combination with maximum turning and ollie power.

  • Magic Bean Resin
Developed over a three-year span, this all new resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw materials. It is plant based that does not compete with primary food sources and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high yield output. This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. Magic bean resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing us to decrease the wood core thickness. Our focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return.

TOPSHEET

  • PLT Topsheet Technology
The PLT machine sits in a secret hidden corner of the factory behind two very unassuming, nondescript metal doors. The PLT  is so secretive that with the exception of its inventor, Mr. Michi Kollmann, all visitors to the room must be versed in an ever-changing secret handshake. PLT technology is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This is magical because the rest of the world mashes their topsheets on with glue, heat and pressure during the pressing stage. Doing so causes the fiberglass structure underneath to show through the topsheet. And because nobody wants to spend their hard earned cash on a bumpy snowboard, many companies slather their tops with a thick toxic lacquer to smooth things out. Not only is that material HEAVY and can potentially develop unsightly hairline cracks, it’s also really unhealthy for the working environment. The PLT machine produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without all that poisonous deadweight.

  • Holysheet Fiberglass
The all new holysheet fiberglass configuration features new fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. Triaxial fiberglass is placed on top of the core and biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating a perfectly blended ride while increasing strength and durability. Combine this layup with the magic bean resin and one of the many additives we have available, and you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.

BASE

  • Quantum Drive Base
The Quantum Drive running base is formulated with a new blend of compressed ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene. As an evolution from the already blazing fast Ultradrive from 2018, this new running base for 2021 and beyond features higher density for durability and absorbs more wax to wick longer and ride faster. Properly maintained sintered bases are fast, durable, and are the preferred choice of many high-end enthusiasts worldwide.

SIDEWALL

  • 1.5mm cork dampening
Damp, durable, and lighter than rubber, Capita's new cork edge dampening system is placed in between the steel edge and the abs sidewall for increase protection from blunt force impacts. The ultrafear features this exclusive dampening system underfoot where most boards meet rails, and the scott stevens pro features a full contact length system because with him… you just never know what’s going to happen.

  • Full ABS1000 Sidewalls

  • 360 Degree HRC48 Steel Edges
