Quick overview

Renowned for all-terrain versatility, the Capita Mercury has been designed for power when you want it and float when you need it. A favorite by Kevin Backstrom and Arthur Longo. Featuring an ultralight Panda Core™ with Bamboo Power Rods™ among many other technical attributes like Amplitex™ V-Tech Amplifiers, the Mercury's durability and ollie power reign supreme.

  • Resort V2 Profile
This all-terrain shape has a camber between the bindings for good grip at higher speeds. Wah-Pow! has been added to the nose and tail to ensure your contact points are raised, allowing for a more catch-free ride and quicker transitions. The rocker in the nose and tail provides more float in the powder and more landing power.

  • Flat Kick Tech
With capita’s flat kick design technology, we’ve tightened the tip profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height on reverse camber boards. The tight tip radius in conjunction with tuned blend zones allows you to have a forgiving and easy to ride reverse camber board that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions. This also creates a flat tip and tail which increases jibbing stability and also helps the board plane on top of powder creating float and control.

  • Hover Core
Designed using high yield materials, the hover core is so light it essentially floats across the snow. Thin cut low density paulownia strips are combined with 7 mm poplar beams to create a unique ply configuration. The result is an energetic core that is extremely light and strong with excel-lent dampening properties.

  • Amplitex V-Tech Amplifier
These 30 mm Carbon Arcs are constructed utilizing an all new computer engineered carbon shaping process. After extensive lab work analyzing how a particular shape reacts to the dynamics of riding, each piece of pre-shaped and pre-laminated Carbon Fiber is made to exact standards that enhance the positive features of a particular board.

  • Holysheet Fiberglass
The all new holysheet fiberglass configuration features new fiber weaves with a high tensile strength and low modulus of elasticity. With a higher roving count in the same weight of glass, you can have a stronger and more responsive board without adding extra weight. Triaxial fiberglass is placed on top of the core and biaxial fiberglass beneath, creating a perfectly blended ride while increasing strength and durability. Combine this layup with the magic bean resin and one of the many additives we have available, and you get a high performing board tailored to meet your style of riding.

  • Magic Bean Resin
Developed over a three-year span, this all new resin system has a bio-content of 60% renewable, agricultural raw materials. It is plant based that does not compete with primary food sources and is produced with no waste or greenhouse emissions. In production, it has a low-temperature requirement with a high yield output. This resin system is poppy, powerful, and extremely durable. Magic bean resin yields much stronger and more rigid qualities allowing us to decrease the wood core thickness. Our focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return.

  • PLT Topsheet Technology
The PLT machine sits in a secret hidden corner of the factory behind two very unassuming, nondescript metal doors. The PLT  is so secretive that with the exception of its inventor, Mr. Michi Kollmann, all visitors to the room must be versed in an ever-changing secret handshake. PLT technology is exclusive to CAPiTA MFG and magically bonds the topsheet to an already pressed snowboard. This is magical because the rest of the world mashes their topsheets on with glue, heat and pressure during the pressing stage. Doing so causes the fiberglass structure underneath to show through the topsheet. And because nobody wants to spend their hard earned cash on a bumpy snowboard, many companies slather their tops with a thick toxic lacquer to smooth things out. Not only is that material HEAVY and can potentially develop unsightly hairline cracks, it’s also really unhealthy for the working environment. The PLT machine produces a featherlight, smooth, high-gloss finish, without all that poisonous deadweight.

  • Multitech Level 6 DeepSpace + PAM16000 Topsheet w/ Metallic Underlay

  • Hyperdrive Base
Custom formulated and exclusive to the mothership, our engineers have worked tirelessly with the world's leading polyethylene running base supplier to create hyperdrive™ . With exceptional anti-friction properties due to high molecular mass and specialized processing aids, this sintered material has a custom carbon component and is beyond fast. Our loyal fans charge hard, and for 2021 and beyond we have integrated the fastest, meanest base available.

  • New Age Directional Sidecut
Capita's new age directional sidecuts are progressive sidecuts, which also incorporate a reverse sidecut arc in the midsection of the board. Due to a reduced effective edge as a result of hybrid camber shapes, this reverse camber arc provides a point of contact to retain control throughout the turn and is affectionately referred to as death grip™.

  • 360 Degree HRC48 Steel Edges

  • Full ABS1000 Sidewalls
