In short

The Burton Malavita has been around for years and has a large following. This freestyle-focused all-mountain binding has a medium flex and low sidewalls, giving you the control and freedom you need. Responsive and flexible enough to go anywhere. And The Hinge, only available on the EST version, activates medial and lateral flex for reduced fatigue and easier ollies.

In detail

PERFORMANCE

The baseplate consists of two components, with a softer material under the foot than along the edge for a direct but balanced feel. The 30% short-glass/nylon composite gives the binding a lot of control while retaining its playful side.
The Hinge allows you to set your forward lean and high-back rotation independently of each other.
The highback is made from 18% short-glass/nylon composite for ramped up strength and soft flex. Heel hammock uses reinforced rubbery material for lightning fast response out of turns. The MicroFLAD provides outstanding micro-adjustability. Zero-lean hi-back for a relaxed feel.
The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means instant responsiveness. Depending on the type of binding, this varies in stiffness from soft (Freestyle) to hard (Freeride).

COMFORT

The Hammockstrap is ultra-responsive with minimal materials.
The minimalistic design of the Super Grip Capstrap 2.0 mixes two materials in an advanced toestrap. The frame of the strap is made of a stiff material while the outside is soft. The combination makes for a toestrap that stays in place.
The SensoryBED damping plates provide damping along the entire foot and are made to be more than just comfortable. They also make your feet less likely to tire and cramp up.
Autocant footbed takes the strain off the knees, making riding and rotation easier.
Burton's Flex Slider makes strapping in a breeze with a strategically stretched hinging zone that allows the heel strap to flex and fall fully open.

USE

All Burton EST bindings are compatible with the Burton EST Channel system. EST bindings cannot be mounted on a board with normal inserts. A Phillips screwdriver is required to mount the binding.
