Quick overview

The Borealis Alpine Pro is their latest collaboration with Clément Bochatay. This directional is for big mountain riders who like to send tricks between two rocky ledges. It allows you to hover in deep powder and ride switch. The subtle progressive radii shifting from effective edge to the contact points combined with mild Sidewaves bring grip and power on edge, without creating drag or discomfort. A solid big mountain deck that stays versatile for BC freestyle and comfortable piste-cruising.

Details

PROFILE

  • Camrock
This profile is ideal for deep powder float and solid grip on hard snow. Long front rocker starting from the front insert pack, mild camber down to the back insert pack and shorter rocker towards the tail for easier turns and switch landings.

CORE

  • Element Core
Ultralight wood core made from poplar, bamboo an vertical basalt beams for extra pop and response. As good as it gets.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Carbon Power Beams
Our carefully-studied carbon reinforcement matrix are designed for each board's needs. Wether the aim is to boost pop, stability or precision, these beams are the central nervous system of your ride, making it more dynamic and swift.

  • Triax Glass x2
This composite is weaved in 3 different angles, bringing precision, reactivity and stability to the board. High longitudinal and torsional stifness.

TOPSHEET

  • DNA Bioplastic Topsheet
Plant-based (50%) organic topsheet with improved resistance to impacts and low snow adherence properties, allowing to slide through powder with less friction.

BASE

  • Structured P-Tex 5920 Graphite Base
This premium high-molecular density base is simply the best base material available on the market. Reach mind-blowing speeds in no time on any terrain and snow temperature. High impact-resilience and great wax-absorption.

  • Factory-Waxed with One Ball Green
Borealis boards are ready to shred out-of-the-box. Factory waxed with One Ball Green.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Sidewaves
Extra contact points added to the sidecut offer more security and amazing grip on hard snow and ice. Very similar to Magnetraction.

  • Liquid Walls
A sidewall that’s poured directly into the core during the production process. Applied in a liquid shape, after solidifying this wall is more or less bulletproof.

  • Recycled Steel Edges
All Borealis splitboards and some of their snowboards are built using recycled steel edges. This board has recycled steel edges which are durable, strong, and have a minimal impact on the environment.

OTHERS

  • Zero-VOC Resin
This board is assembled using a Zero-VOC Resin, which is a long-lasting and high-performance alternative to classic epoxy resins.
