Quick overview

Committed to better living through exploration, and always evolving her riding style, Marie-France Roy brings new life to the Women’s line for 2020/2021. Drawing on her big mountain prowess, the Veda evolves our System Camber with offset Uprise Fenders, longer in the nose and lower in the tail for an increased float, more powerful turn initiation, and drive with increased edge hold. Mindfully Crafted in design collaboration with Marie-France Roy.

PROFILE

  • The Camber System
Arbor's System Camber shapes are for riders who want: A highly responsive ride, crisp on-edge performance, and more pop for carving and ollie., Effortless true-camber performance across all types of snow, and during turns, spins, and landings.

  • Uprise Fenders
The contact points at the tip and tail are elevated by 3-5°, starting at the front binding. This ensures a smoother turn transition. Fitted on all-mountain performance boards.

  • Taper
The widest point in the sidecut tapers in toward the tip earlier for less drag and hooking in powder. Swing weight is also reduced making the ski even more maneuverable in difficult snow.

CORE

  • FSC Certified Highland II Core
A newly developed screening process has allowed Arbor to hand select the very lightest and highest quality paulownia from their sourcing partners. The result is a lighter, more responsive version of the Highland Core known for highly reliable return and long-lasting durability.

  • Mixed Glassing
A triax over biax lay–up that’s best for versatility: pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps, and more.

TOPSHEET

  • Powerply Topsheet
The Power Ply works like an added layer of fiberglass. During construction, the natural wood or bamboo fibers are turned into a composite layer inside the board, but the process takes time. They start with a log that must be soaked so that it can be sliced or “veneered” into sheets, which are then assembled into “faces”. The “faces” are then backed with a special fleece material, precision sanded, and pre laminated to a protective foil made in part from natural castor bean oil. The finished topsheet is at last ready to be built into a snowboard. In the end, the process makes Arbor Power Ply designs the most labor intensive snowboards on the market. The resulting performance, board life, finish quality, reduced reliance on man–made glues, coatings, and composites are worth the extra effort.

  • Entropy Bio Resin
All Powerplys and R.A.P. Topless Tech veneers are made with Entropy Bio-Resin, a replacement for traditional petroleum based resin that doesn’t affect performance or usability. The ingredients that go into Entropy Bio-Resin are sArbor’sced as co-products or waste products of other industrial processes and are manufactured employing green chemistry techniques that reduce the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% (when compared to its petroleum based equivalent).

BASE

  • Sintered Plus Base
Arbor's sintered plus base is a mid-density material that demonstrates increased speed and durability while maintaining the ease of repairCrossLink base is a mid-density material that demonstrates increased speed and durability while maintaining the ease of repair.

  • Wend Natural Wax
All boards are waxed and ready to use.

SIDEWALL

  • ABS (recycled) Sidewall
Provides enhanced durability while keeping the core safe from moisture. When a plastic alternative is unavailable, as in the case of ABS sidewalls, Arbor has choosen for a recycled material to improve the sustainability of their products.

EDGES

  • Griptech
Grip tech is a tri–radial sidecut design that is not “blended.” Natural shaping intersections, that in the past were eliminated, have been transformed into heel and toe contact points that provide a direct, more ergonomic way to grip the snow when additional control is needed. The extra contacts also form pivot zones that make turning easier and more natural. Grip tech effectively moves a board’s primary interface with the snow underfoot, allowing us to deliver designs that don’t lose performance as we lift leading sections of the effective edge from the snow for a less grabby ride. Those designs include rocker, or camber with our new uprise fenders. Uprise fenders pull the outside contact zones off the snow with angled 3º risers on all camber system designs.

  • Recycled Steel Edges
Highly durable, recycled steel edges embody two of Arbor's key values: quality and sustainability.

  • 360° Fully Wrapped Sidewalls
A 360–degree, fully wrapped sidewall that eliminates the need for tip fill, while effectively tying the whole snowboard together. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability.

  • Factory Tuned
Detuning of the tip and tail contact points on all snowboards for a catch-free ride before they leave the factory.

MOUNTING

  • 2x4 Inserts
Provide a wide stance range, while at the same time delivering critical micro adjustability.
