Quick Overview

The Crosscut is the newest addition to the Arbor line in our expanding collection of directional snowboards. Built on the same chasis as the A-Frame, the Crosscut offers a more afforable option for riders who prefer a snowboard with a setback stance and a small amount of taper ideal when riding predominantly in their natural stance direction. The top of the Crosscut features a hand dyed Ash Powerply, Bio-Plastic Topsheet and our all-new Sintered Crosslink Base, a mid-density material that demonstrates increased speed and precision while maintaining ease of repair. The Crosscut is available in both System Rocker and System Camber technologies. The System Rocker design provides a surfy ride with natural float and cleaner tracking. The System Camber design offers a poppy ride with crisp, fully engaged performance.

PROFILE

  • The Camber System

The Camber System design offers a poppy ride with crisp, fully engaged performance.

  • Parabolic profiling

The system utilizes rocker or camber profiles created using the parabolic arc, which progressively reduces the amount of rocker or camber toward the tip and tail of a snowboard. This creates low, more effective profiles. On our rocker system designs, parabolic profiling ensures the outside contact points are close enough to the snow to engage when maximum performance is required – higher speeds, fully loaded turns, and bigger landings. On camber system designs, this guarantees the outside contact points do not dig too far into the snow, creating a cleaner, less catchy performance that makes it easier to turn, spin, and ride fast.

CORE

  • Double barrel II Core

Our most progressive core, made from poplar, reinforced with bamboo running along the rails for added torsional response and serious big mountain riding. Every arbor snowboard is made with a full-length, sustainably sourced wood core. Each core is custom built and cnc shaped for a specific model and size. The extra effort helps guarantee the tolerance, flex, and finish quality of every arbor snowboard produced. New for 2019, all boards featuring a power ply topsheet also feature lighter, carefully selected poplar in their respective cores, resulting in a noticeable reduction in weight across a variety of models. These cores can be identified in each boards notable features with the “lt” designation after the core name.

BASE

  • Sintered Crosslink Base

Our new CrossLink base is a mid-density material that demonstrates increased speed and durability while maintaining the ease of repair.

  • Zero Waste Base Technology

All of our die-cut bases feature our Zero Waste Base technology, and come in interchangable 2 colorways. This process is essential to reducing our carbon footprint and eliminating waste duing the manufacturing process.

TOPSHEET

  • Hand Dyed Ash Powerply

The Power Ply works like an added layer of fiberglass. During construction, the natural wood or bamboo fibers are turned into a composite layer inside the board, but the process takes time.

  • Mixed glassing

A triax over biax lay–up that’s best for versatility: pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps, and more.

  • Entropy Bio Resin

All Powerplys and R.A.P. Topless Tech veneers are made with Entropy Bio-Resin, a replacement for traditional petroleum based resin that doesn’t affect performance or usability. The ingredients that go into Entropy Bio-Resin are sourced as co-products or waste products of other industrial processes and are manufactured employing green chemistry techniques that reduce the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% (when compared to its petroleum based equivalent).

SIDEWALL

  • 360 rails

A 360–degree, fully wrapped sidewall that eliminates the need for tip fill, while effectively tying the whole snowboard together. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability.

  • Recycled Steel Edges

Our highly durable, recycled steed edges embody two of our Arbor’s key values: quality and sustainability.
