Splitboard skins

Climbing skins are essential for ascending slopes. Without climbing skins you will not be able to make it up a slope. The hairs of the skin glide with forward movement and grip with backward pressure.

Quick Overview

While it might never dethrone the Millisurf and Milligram, the Creamer Split is the underdog splitboard in Amplid’s collection that delivers solid performance, great board feel and astounding value for money. Featuring the same geometry as its high-rolling brother the Milligram, but with a more economical construction, the Creamer thrives in the backcountry, whatever the terrain or snow conditions. In powder its curvaceous, smooth-rising nose and subtle pin-tail provide abundant lift. In trickier conditions, ample effective edge, plenty of camber and vibration taming Basalt Suspension Strips keep the edges biting.

New board clips by the Union Binding Co. live up to the “Stronger” promise, offering a secure and dependable connection between the board halves. Integrated, double-threaded hardware made from titanium keep its base smooth and bolt free.

  • Directional cruise camber

A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Cruise camber’s toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like pop camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In amplid’s directional snowboards and skis a touch of early rise is added to cruise camber to improve buoyancy even further.

  • Omni core

A dependable, low density poplar wood core which is lightweight, durable and has great flex memory. The industry standard for great performance.

  • Floatation tips

Ultra wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.

  • Basalt suspension strips

Running along the topsheet in a v-configuration from the contact points towards the boots, these narrow bands of basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping your edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the rolls royce feeling!

  • Sintered 7 base

A premium sintered plastic which readily absorbs wax and will out-run your riding buddies’ bases without breaking a sweat. You better get used to waiting.

  • Biaxial glass

Using biaxial glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.

  • PLT Topsheet

  • Split tune

We lightly round the edges at the tip and tail, outside of the effective edge. Blunting these edges reduces chipping to the topsheet caused by touring.
