There’s nothing outlandish about its geometry, and the Creamer’s construction isn’t Amplid’s most sophisticated, but this freeride thoroughbred’s no-nonsense design philosophy is fundamental to its line-crushing abilities.
Its long, low-rising nose and slightly tapered geometry give the Creamer an attacking riding position which aggressive snowboarders will love. Edge hold that can be relied on is critical in exposed terrain, Direction Cruise Camber distributes pressure evenly along the entire edge for steadfast grip in all conditions. Expertly positioned TCA reinforcements add energy to its flex and dampen destabilizing vibrations… the Creamer will handle tough conditions without making a fuss.
PROFILE
A half-fat camber for all-mountain dominance. Cruise camber’s toned-down dimensions deliver a precise and lively feel much like pop camber, but with much improved deep snow performance and a more “broken-in” feel out of the shrink-wrap. In amplid’s directional snowboards and skis a touch of early rise is added to cruise camber to improve buoyancy even further.
CORE
A dependable, low density poplar wood core which is lightweight, durable and has great flex memory. The industry standard for great performance.
Ultra wide, low rising tips that exist purely to create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to skis and snowboards.
A narrow band of carbon stringers that run through the centreline of a ski or snowboard from tip-to tail. Pop band increases longitudinal stiffness and pop without altering torsional stiffness. Shreds with pop band feel livelier but remain forgiving.
Running along the topsheet in a v-configuration from the contact points towards the boots, these narrow bands of basalt fabric dampen unwanted vibrations, reducing rider fatigue and keeping your edge engaged with the snow for improved control. Get the rolls royce feeling!
Viscodamp makes riding in every snow-condition smoother, more precise and less fatiguing. Full-depth channels are strategically CNC-ed into the core and filled with a low-shore-hardness Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU).
BASE
A premium sintered plastic which readily absorbs wax and will out-run your riding buddies’ bases without breaking a sweat. You better get used to waiting.
TOPSHEET
Using biaxial glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.
SIDEWALL
We avoid radii where we can and use Beziér-curves when designing sidecuts and nose shapes. It allows us to calculate the exact flex curve of the core, which results in the most harmonious ride a ski or a board can provide.
