Quick overview

How to define the Aecre Illicit? Look at the shape and you’ll see a powder-board. Taper, setback and a little spoon in the nose. This will give it loads of float and ease of turning. But don’t be mistaken… When you move your bindings forward, it will be your fun-carver. The shorter radius together with the speedbumps makes it playfull with a lot of edge-hold. The carbon/kevlar/basalt stringers from tip-to-tail give the board responsiveness, pop and strength. Ride this board at your normal length for deep ‘trench diggin’ or powder. This could be everybody’s directional daily driver, from intermediate to expert.

It's Illicit to put this board in a pigeonhole!

The Aecre Illicit comes in a Neoprene Snowboard Sleeve with a value of 49.95!

  • Camber Rocker Profile
The Rocker in the nose will make sure you will float in the deepest powder. Camber will provide edge-hold, stability and pop. Due to the camber in the tail, the end of your turn will be more energetic and turn initiation will be a lot quicker.
  • Feel Free Nose
The Illicit is 3D pressed. This means that the contactpoints are raised with a subtle lift of 1.5mm. This way you will get smooth turn initiation and less chance to catch edge. When riding powder this will give you a more natural feeling.

  • Element Core
By using different types of wood in the core you'll get a very dynamic board. Beech is hard, heavy and offers a lot of cushioning. Therefore used for placing the inserts. Poplar is one of the most used types of wood. It has a good weight to strength ratio and grows pretty fast. However it's more soft then some others. Paulownia has a better stiff to weight ratio than Poplar and therefore used to make the board lighter. Flexible Spruce is widely spread, easy to grow and process. Which makes it an environmentally good choice.

  • Power Stringers
A lot of boards have additional stringers a top of the core to add characteristics or reinforce. With the Carbon-kevlar-basalt stringers Aecre did both. Carbon gives the board more stiffness and pop/rebound. The pressure or power you put into it will come back instantaneously. This will give the board liveliness and a better turn initiation. Kevlar has a different density and will dampen vibrations, adds strength and durability. Basalt is maybe a stranger in our midst. But it's stronger than steel and the cold will not have any effect on it. This makes the board a lot stronger.

  • Biax-Triax Fiberglass
Woven Fiberglass is necessary to increase boardlife, but it also adds torsional and axial stiffness and respons. By using a two and three layer sheet of fiberglass you will keep the ease of turning at lower speeds (biax) and add more power and precision to the edges (triax).

  • Sintered Base
Sintered bases are made by compressing Polyethylene pellets. This creates a porous layer that absorbs wax and therefore slides well. If you don't wax this Sintered base, the gliding ability will decrease.

  • Multi Grip-tech
There are placed small reversed sidecuts beside the inserts. These subtle 1.3mm bumps are extra contactpoints at the heel-and toeside of the board and will give you extra grip in icy conditions but not slow you down in softer conditions.

  • ABS Sidewall
The ABS sidewall protects the core materials because we don't ride powder everyday. It can resist impacts and adds torsional rigidity. This ensures better edge-hold and grip. A must on every good board.

  • Steel Tip & Tail Bumper
Aecre has placed a steel insert in the tip and tail. This makes the board much better protected against impact.

  • Neoprene Sleeve
The Neoprene Sleeve is an ideal companion if you want to store your board, throw it in the trunk or even taking it on a flight. The neoprene stretches around the edges and gives a lot of protection. You can easily leave the bindings on, because of the opening at the inserts.
