In short

The YES PYL XTRM is built for the bold, taking freeride performance to the next level. Featuring a lightweight yet powerful Surge Core, a Coreless Tail for effortless float and flow, and Air V Carbon reinforcement in the nose for added precision and stability, this board is designed to charge technical lines with confidence. Every detail is engineered for riders who demand control, speed, and high-performance response, no compromises, just pure freeride dominance.

In detail

PROFILE

  • CamRock
A hybrid profile with camber between the feet and rocker toward the tip and tail, giving the board pop, edge hold and a looser feel where it needs to release.

CORE

  • Surge Core
A poplar, paulownia and bamboo core tuned for stronger energy transfer, more power through turns and a lively feel when you load the board hard.
  • Coreless Tail
A coreless tail removes wood from the tip of the tail, reducing swing weight and allowing for more torsional flex. This results in smoother turn exits, improved float in powder, and a more responsive, surf-like ride.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 3-dimensional fiberglass at a 45-degree angle. 3-dimensional fiberglass provides good torsional rigidity. This provides stability and response and is often used in boards for the more experienced rider.

  • Air V
This board features V-shaped carbon reinforcement placed only in the nose, adding targeted stiffness and stability during turn initiation. It enhances control and precision at high speeds while keeping the tail flexible and playful for a balanced, responsive ride.

BASE

  • Sintered True Base
A proper sintered base built for speed, wax absorption and durability, rewarding riders who keep it maintained with a faster, cleaner glide.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Tapered MidBite
MidBite response is blended with taper, giving the board quick edge-to-edge movement, stronger float and a more directional feel in variable snow.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.

Characteristics

  1. Directional Rocker-Camber-Rocker
    Profile

    Directional Rocker-Camber-Rocker

Directional Rocker-Camber-Rocker - The camber between the feet provides grip and power, while the longer rocker in the nose improves float and makes turn initiation easier. The shorter rocker in the tail makes the board easier to steer and creates a more playful, forgiving ride than Camber-Rocker-Camber. You will mainly find this profile in all-mountain and freeride boards.

  2. Directional
    Shape

    Directional

Directional - On a directional snowboard, the nose and tail are deliberately designed differently, and the board is intended to be ridden primarily in one direction. The nose is often longer and wider than the tail, while the stance is positioned further back. These features are known as taper and setback. The nose also often has a softer flex than the tail. This combination provides additional float in powder, smooth turn initiation and greater stability at speed. Directional shapes are mainly found on all-mountain, freeride and powder boards.

  3. Sintered
    Base Speed

    Sintered

Sintered Base - A sintered base is compressed under high pressure and has a porous structure that absorbs plenty of wax. This makes the base faster and allows it to perform better in changing snow conditions. The material is harder and more wear-resistant than an extruded base, but it requires regular waxing and is more difficult to repair. A good choice for advanced riders who value speed and performance.
