Snowcountry Second Choice Snowboards

We sell second choice snowboards in 3 categories. All snowboards are sold with their regular product warranty. For any questions regarding a specific second chance product, please contact our customer service.

  • B-Grade
B-Grade snowboards can contain cosmetic defects and small production discrepancies. All of these defects are cosmetical and the snowboards are new and technically 100%.
  • C-Grade
C-Grade snowboards have transport damage, scratches on base or top sheet, or other small defects. These snowboards are new but might need some attention.
  • Demo
Demo snowboards are used by our team for testing purposes. They are in a good state and well serviced.

PROFILE

  • CamRock
A hybrid rocker / camber profile with a symmetrical tip and tail. The rocker resides in the nose, with a light camber between the feet. The camber is between your feet as a spring keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more allowing it to float. This creates a super versatile board profile that performs under all conditions.

CORE

  • Surge Core
A high-performance wood core designed for maximum stability, precision, and power at speed. Combining lightweight woods with strategic reinforcements, it delivers a responsive, energetic ride ideal for technical terrain and aggressive all-mountain riding.
  • CoreLess Tail
A coreless tail removes wood from the tip of the tail, reducing swing weight and allowing for more torsional flex. This results in smoother turn exits, improved float in powder, and a more responsive, surf-like ride.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 3-dimensional fiberglass at a 45-degree angle. 3-dimensional fiberglass provides good torsional rigidity. This provides stability and response and is often used in boards for the more experienced rider.

  • Air V
This board features V-shaped carbon reinforcement placed only in the nose, adding targeted stiffness and stability during turn initiation. It enhances control and precision at high speeds while keeping the tail flexible and playful for a balanced, responsive ride.

BASE

  • Sintered True base
A sintered base is made from grains of coarse powder that are pressed until they form a solid. Genuine sintered base is harder and more expensive than extruded base. It can therefore be faster for those who drive aggressively and fast, provided the base is waxed according to the circumstances.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

Tapered Midbite blends the response of a narrow waist width with the stability of a wider nose and narrower tail for powder flotation. The design steps a single section of each sidecut inwards between the insert packs. This single long disruption of the sidecut between the bindings cheats the waist width narrower, providing quicker edge-to-edge response. Meanwhile, from your bindings out to the end of the sidecut we maintain a wider board width that improves float in pow and is a stable platform. The Step inwards on the front is deeper than the Step outwards on the back creating a slight taper in the tail allowing the tail to be just a little narrower than the nose but without losing the twin feel.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.
