In detail

PERFORMANCE

The Duraflex CB is Union's stiffest baseplate with carbon injection Duraflex Nylon. The forged carbon is not only stronger but also lighter than normal carbon. This gives you a binding like no other that is super stiff and reacts quickly.
The Extruded 3D Aluminum Heelcup is designed for optimum heel hold and minimization of drag, Union 3D Extruded Aluminum heelcups are the strongest in the business.

The S14 Duraflex CB Highback is lighter, stiffer and more responsive then previous Atlas highbacks. The forward lean adjuster has been renewed and is now more minimalistic.

COMFORT

The footbed damping is made of Vaporlite HD. This has been upgraded again, with the same level of damping but even more responsiveness than the previous version. This has been applied both in the footbed and padding under the binding. The Vaporlite has a specific non-stick coating to prevent snow from sticking to the binding.

The Forged Carbon disk cover has low weight, adds another layer of dampening and vibration, and makes the binding more responsive.

The Exoframe 5.0 utilizes tri-axial progressive flex for the perfect boot to binding fit and instant power and response when you’re ready to lay down a hard charging, high speed carve. Easily adjust your ankle strap to any boot with the quick snap of the pin adjustment, no tools needed. Just like all Union ankle straps, the Exofame series comes with the safety and security of DuPont™ Hytrel®, so you never miss a day of riding.

Separating the exterior toe strap frame and interior rubber grip allows the rubber grip to form fit perfectly to any boot shape on the market today, while a new more integrated toe connector gives the the binding a more finished overall look.

Union bindings are equipped with the strongest steel available on the market - Union’s use of Grade 8.8 represents Union’s commitment of delivering the strongest and most reliable bindings on the market today. The Camber Disk is compatible with 4x4, 4x2 and the channel. The Camber disk provides increased response and a locked-in connection. NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 3-HOLE
The buckles on both the toe and ankles strap are from Magnesium. This Union exclusive process produces a material four times the strength of aluminium with only half the weight. Easy in, easy out.
