The Nitro Alternator Split is built for riders who want to do it all in the backcountry, from long tours to hard-charging descents. Based on the versatile Alternator shape, it blends stability, float, and response into one package. The SplitGrip Core and dual degressive sidecut deliver reliable grip on the skintrack and smooth turns on the ride down, while the directional shape keeps control in technical terrain. A true one-board quiver for splitboard adventurers.

PROFILE

  • Trüe camber
    Trüe camber is good old standard camber, which provides the stability and pop many shreds can´t live without. The amount of snap and support you get from a cambered board is unrivalled by any other camber design. The trüe camber varies between board models because each board is specifically designed for a certain terrain or type of riding. For example the trüe camber in the nitro pantera has a larger height for maximum response, while the trüe camber in their freestyle boards are lower to provide you with a more freestyle friendly flex, without losing the support and trust you need for stomping landings. Camber is camber there is no point in over complicating it!

  • All terrain: All mountain Pop
    Nitro's most versatile flex pattern, combining Nitro’s signature pop with smooth response, allowing you to tear up the entire mountain.

  • Progressive Sidecut
    A larger radius in the front, blended into a tighter one towards the tail: the progressive sidecut makes accelerating out of turns a breeze, while maintaining a catch-free nose area.

CORE

  • Powerlite Core
    The highest grade of ultra-lightweight poplar wood in our powerlite core makes for the perfect ride with lots of pop and unmatched strength at a minimum weight.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Bi-lite laminates
    A fiberglass mat, with fibers in two directions, which provides strength and torsional rigidity. This improves the control and response of the board.

BASE

  • Sintered Speed Formula HD Base
    Utilizing Ptex base material compound, Nitro has gone even more environmental friendly. This is a high abrasion resistance base with increased wax absorption and higher on-snow speeds.
