The Lib Tech Skunk Ape Camber is an experiMENTAL division’s big guy “dream board” project. Even more power and precision for this version. Constant testing and refinement by Trevor Phillips, Krush Kulesza, Neil Green and Kurt Jensen make this the best larger gentleman’s power freestyle stick on the planet. Hit the rails or put it on rail, your toes won’t drag but, your knuckles might. The big nose and HP construction make this a powerful board with ample of float.

PROFILE

  • Camber Directional
    This profile distributes maximum energy to tips and tails. If you want precision, power and pop, this is it. For the more aggressive skilled riders who like camber. With just a little bigger nose, for float and shorter tail for carving sensations, than the normal camber version.


CORE

  • Horsepower Construction
    Horsepower Construction is lighter than Original Power and provides more cushioning. The core consists of: 60% Aspen / 40% Paulownia with a layer of tri-ax and a layer of bi-ax containing an alloy of basalt. This core is lighter and dampens vibrations.


REINFORCEMENTS

  • Tri-ax/Bi-ax Fiberglass Combo
    A perfect mix of Tri-Ax over Bi-Ax, these are carbon stringers that further affect and improve torsional stiffness and pop.

  • Basalt Fiber Reïnforcement
    Basalt is a volcanic rock with specific properties that includes being lightweight and providing excellent damping, which ensures good stability. Combining basalt with a special resin creates a unique layer that is not only lightweight and strong but also provides a lively playful character (pop).


TOPSHEET

  • Eco Sublimated Poly Top
    Strong polyester topsheet made in the Mervin factory. Eco-friendly, with a beautiful design.


BASE

  • Sintered Knife Cut Base
    This is Lib Tech's sintered base. This base is fast, durable and absorbent. Like other sintered bases, the wax absorbs quickly and improves the glide.


SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Magne-traction
    Lib Tech is the inventor of Magne-Traction. Magne-Traction is a slight wave in the steel edge. Like a serrated knife that cuts through bread, Magne-Traction cuts in the snow. This gives the board extra grip on icy and hard conditions. When the conditions become softer, this causes a loss of speed.

  • Birch Internal Sidewall
    The internal sidewalls are reinforced with Birch. This gives you a better response and more control. In addition, the chance of a 'fatal' impact on your steel side is reduced.

  • UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection
    It is mainly the tip and tail that are damaged while using your board. By using UHMWPE in the tip and tail you prevent this damage and possible delamination. The steel edge of Lib tech boards therefore does not extend beyond the contact points.

  • UHMW Sintered Sidewall
    Very strong, waterproof and light sidewall that bends well with the flex of your board. No environmentally unfriendly ABS!


MOUNTING

  • 2x4 Inserts
    2x4 has more mounting option then 4x4. All new bindings will fit on these boards, except for 3D and EST.

  • Handcrafted
    Handcrafted in the USA near Canada! These snowboards are handmade and tested in the Mervin factory in America.
