In short

The Lib Tech Dynamo grants the level of control and precision that will blow your mind. Its mild taper and freeride nose make it a weapon for ripping on- and off-piste. This is a board for the advanced boarder who appreciates hard-carved turns and the occasional big air. This directional is aggressive and poppy, but moves like a twin.

In detail

PROFILE

  • C3 Camber
    C3 is the most aggressive shape from the Mervin factory. Still a rocker between the feet but with a lot more emphasis on the camber under the bindings. This gives you a board that rides more aggressively, is more precise and has more pop and still manages to create some float.


CORE

  • Original Power Construction
    A light, strong and environmentally nicer construction built around a 75% Aspen and 25% Paulownia core. Tri-ax and bi-ax fiber add control and response, while the eco sublimated top and TNT or sintered base keep the board durable and fast.


REINFORCEMENTS

  • Tri-ax/Bi-ax Fiberglass Combo
    A perfect mix of Tri-Ax over Bi-Ax, these are carbon stringers that further affect and improve torsional stiffness and pop.


TOPSHEET

  • Eco Sublimated Poly Top
    GNU’s Eco Sublimated Poly Top is a strong polyester topsheet made in the Mervin factory. The sublimated graphic process keeps the artwork clean and durable, while the material itself is built to handle regular mountain use. It gives the board a tough, clean finish with a more environmentally considered construction.


BASE

  • Eco Sublimated TNT Base
    A fast and low-maintenance base with Lib Tech's eco sublimation process. It keeps the board easy to care for while delivering reliable glide for everyday resort riding and all-mountain use.


SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Magne-Traction
    Lib Tech's signature serrated edge technology uses seven strategically placed contact points along the sidecut to create stronger grip in hardpack, ice and mixed snow. The deeper serrations between the feet add powerful bite where edge pressure is highest, while the smaller serrations toward the tip and tail keep turns smooth and controllable. This gives the board a more secure, confident feel when carving, holding an edge or riding through unpredictable conditions.
  • Birch Internal Sidewall
    End grain birch sidewalls reinforce the internal structure of the board. They add strength, response and extra protection around the edges for a more solid ride feel.
  • UHMW Sintered Sidewall
    Very strong, waterproof and light sidewall that bends well with the flex of your board. No environmentally unfriendly ABS!

  • UHMW Tip/Tail Impact Deflection
    It is mainly the tip and tail that are damaged while using your board. By using UHMWPE in the tip and tail you prevent this damage and possible delamination. The steel edge of Lib tech boards therefore does not extend beyond the contact points.


OTHER

  • 2x4 Inserts
    2x4 has more mounting option then 4x4. All new bindings will fit on these boards, except for 3D and EST.

  • Handcrafted
    Lib Tech snowboards are handcrafted in Washington State, near Canada, in the Mervin factory. Each board is built with Lib Tech's own materials, processes and experiMENTAL approach to snowboard design.

  1. Camber

    Profile

    Camber - Camber provides strong edge hold, stability and control, especially on hardpack and at higher speeds. The profile delivers plenty of pop and power for carving and jumping. Camber feels direct and precise but is less forgiving than rocker, making it less suitable for deep powder and beginners. You will mainly find this profile in boards designed for skilled, technical riders on the slopes and in the park.

  2. Directional

    Shape

    Directional - On a directional snowboard, the nose and tail are deliberately designed differently, and the board is intended to be ridden primarily in one direction. The nose is often longer and wider than the tail, while the stance is positioned further back. These features are known as taper and setback. The nose also often has a softer flex than the tail. This combination provides additional float in powder, smooth turn initiation and greater stability at speed. Directional shapes are mainly found on all-mountain, freeride and powder boards.

  3. Extruded

    Base Speed

    Extruded Base - An extruded base is affordable and easy to maintain. The material is less porous than a sintered base, meaning it absorbs less wax and is slightly slower. However, it continues to perform reasonably well without regular waxing and is easy to repair when damaged. A practical choice for beginners, recreational snowboarders and riders who prefer minimal maintenance.
