PROFILE

  • Directional Camber Profile
    A camber up to the front foot and a small rocker in the tip. Applied to the more freeride-oriented boards. Camber for precision and pop; rocker for float and predictability.

CORE

  • S1 Core
    The smooth-flexing cousin to K2's A1 core, their S1 Core is designed to be damp underfoot and stronger than hell. Constructed from Bamboo, Aspen, and Paulownia, the S1 Core let’s each wood do what it’s best for. Tip-to-tail Bamboo stringers add snap, durability, and damping underfoot and are balanced out by lightweight paulownia in the midbody, tip, and tail help to reduce swingweight. Underfoot, Aspen and Bamboo are placed at 30 ° angles to increase strength, supercharge the edge-to-edge response, and increase the pressure distribution along the edge.

 

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Spaceglass
    Aerospace-grade fibreglass. Very light and durable, with better edge grip and reduced vibration.

  • Spectral Braid
    By making the fiberglass variable in length, K2 has adjusted the torsional stiffness of the board where necessary. This has given the board an enormous amount of stability and manoeuvrability.

  • recess3D
    By reducing the amount of materials in low-stress zones, K2 were able to reduce the swingweight of your snowboard, while also reducing chatter in the tip and tail - all without sacrificing strength.

 

  • Triaxial Glass
    Three-layer fiberglass material woven at an angle of 0°, +45° and -45°.

  • Carbon Power Fork
    Carbon has been added in the tail only, providing more snap. The more you flex the tail, the more energy you create.
