In short

The K2 K2000 AT99S is Sean Pettit’s signature freeride ski, built for advanced to expert skiers who charge fast and hard across varied mountain terrain. Based on the Mindbender 99Ti, it combines stability and agility with a directional shape that excels in both chopped snow and steep technical lines. The aspen wood core adds energy and control, while the titanal Y-beam and carbon weave deliver powerful edge grip and quick response. A durable sintered base ensures consistent speed in all conditions.

In detail

Rocker Camber Small Rise
Skis with a rocker in the tip, camber in the middle and a small rise in the tail are very versatile. The ski is easy to turn, and the camber under the foot gives the ski grip on harder snow. The tail is slightly raised, but it is not like a full rocker. This makes for a balanced combination of easy turning and carving, without compromising on stability.

Woodcore
The core consists of specifically selected wood types that are laminated in different compositions into a solid core. This gives the designers control over all the characteristics of the ski.

Titanal Y-beam

K2’s Ti Y-Beam delivers precision in the front of the ski, power underfoot and stability in the tail, while maintaining the maneuverability and drift control needed for freeride ripping. The precision cut titanal in a ‘Y’ shape alters the torsional stiffness of the ski while maintaining a balanced, even flex pattern that delivers power in a controlled manner throughout the length of the ski.

Powerwall

Power transfer is enhanced with oversized ABS sidewalls that are laminated and pocketed within the wood core in the midbody of the ski. With the sidewall extending into the heart of the ski, the transmission of energy from skier to ski edge is direct and precise.
