The GNU 4x4 is Forest bailey's directional ATV. His skateboard roots put him in the streets, his mastery of east coast ice makes him an amazing carver and his love of all things wild put him in the big mountains. A decade of board design experience and experiments went into this magical floaty nosed, zero taper angle, freestyle focused directional ATV. Head Space the streets and 4x4 the wilds. Forest Bailey’s two board quiver is built to stack clips for the complete all terrain master part.

In detail

PROFILE

  • C3Camber
    C3 is the most aggressive shape from the Mervin factory. Still a rocker between the feet but with a lot more emphasis on the camber under the bindings. This gives you a board that rides more aggressively, is more precise and has more pop and still manages to create some float.

CORE

  • G lite 2 Core
    This is Gnu's light core. The core consists of aspen and Paulownia wood, which is strong, poppy and light. The Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax fibreglass keeps the weight low and makes the board responsive and precise. All Gnu cores are Mervin Made, meaning they are environmentally friendly.

 

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax
    A layer of Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax fibreglass is added to the Gnu boards. This triaxial/biaxial reinforcement ensures extra responsiveness and a more active snowboard in all types of terrain.

TOPSHEET

  • Eco Sublimated Poly Top
    Strong polyester topsheet made in the Mervin factory. Eco-friendly, with a beautiful design.

BASE

  • Sintered Knife Cut Base
    This is Gnu's sintered base. This base is fast, durable and absorbent. Like other sintered bases, the wax absorbs quickly and improves the glide.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • UHMW Sidewall
    A fast and strong sidewall that can handle some heavy-duty work.
