In short

The Extrem Factory 102 is a freeride-oriented all-mountain ski for advanced skiers who want one ski for a variety of conditions. With a well-balanced shape and progressive flex, it offers stability and float without feeling heavy or stiff. A Titanal insert underfoot adds grip and control when the snow is firm, while the construction remains smooth and responsive through changing terrain. Whether you’re chasing powder, heading out for a short tour, or skiing tracked-out faces, the Factory 102 is built to keep up.

In detail

Rocker Camber Rocker
The ski is easy to turn thanks to a rise in both the tip and the tail. Due to the camber under the foot, the waist of the ski provides grip on harder snow. Skis with this type of profile like to be skied from a more centred stance..

Woodcore
The core consists of specifically selected wood types that are laminated in different compositions into a solid core. This gives the designers control over all the characteristics of the ski.

Titanal Binding Plate
A Titanal plate positioned under the binding provides a robust and durable mounting platform, ensuring direct power transmission to the ski. It increases torsional stiffness and reduces vibrations, resulting in a more stable and controlled skiing experience—especially at higher speeds.

Race rubber dampening
To reduce vibrations on hard snow and icy terrain, 1.5 mm race rubber is integrated into the tip and tail. A 0.2 mm rubber foil embedded in the core enhances material bonding and improves overall structural integrity.

Sidewall Construction
A durable PU sidewall seals and protects the ski’s layered construction while adding structural strength. By improving power transfer from the skier to the edges, sidewall construction delivers better edge grip, increased stability at speed, and more precise handling. It also enhances durability and impact resistance for long-lasting performance.

Sintered Bases
This base is made from compressed polyethylene powder to improve wax absorption. It provides excellent gliding performance and durability, ensuring consistent reliability and long-lasting speed on snow.

Tail Skinclip
The tail features a built-in skin clip slot for fast and secure attachment of touring skins. Designed for durability and ease of use, it ensures smooth transitions and reliable performance in demanding alpine conditions.

Characteristics

  1. Freeride

    Shape

The shape of a freeride ski is designed for off-piste use. With 102 mm underfoot, the ski provides more flotation in soft and deep snow, while the wider shape helps it remain stable and controlled in variable snow conditions.

  2. Tip & Tail Rocker

    Profile

A Tip & Tail Rocker profile has an earlier-rising tip and tail with camber underfoot. This makes the ski easier to turn and increases versatility in soft and variable snow.

  3. Stiff

    Flex

Flexes less easily and therefore requires more technique and input from the skier. It provides more support, precision and composure at higher speeds and under heavier loads.

  4. Long

    Radius

With a radius of 21m @ 184cm, this ski is focused on wider turns and greater stability at higher speeds. Short turns require more input to put the ski further onto its edges and change direction more quickly.
