In short

The Borealis Marauder is on the shorter side, fun and extremely versatile board. Its super wide and with it's progressive nose keeps you afloat on the deepest days. Over the years it got a smaller radius which makes it way more fun on carving smooth corduroy. Together with the Liquid Sidewalls and Sidewaves for all the necessary edge-hold and power required for dynamic turns on harder snow conditions. Setback is certainly not necessary for this board!

PROFILE

  • Powder Camber
    Huge front rocker that will keep you above the deepest snow, flat zone for more stability, positive camber down to the tail for powerful turns.

 

CORE

  • UL Forest Core
    Ultralight wood core made from sustainable woods (poplar, paulownia) reinforced with bamboo rods. Thinner tip and tail for reduced swing weight. Dynamic, snappy and durable.

 

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Carbon Power Beams
    Our carefully-studied carbon reinforcement matrix are designed for each board's needs. Wether the aim is to boost pop, stability or precision, these beams are the central nervous system of your ride, making it more dynamic and swift.

  • Triax Glass x2
    This composite is weaved in 3 different angles, bringing precision, reactivity and stability to the board. High longitudinal and torsional stifness.

TOPSHEET

  • Vibragun Topsheet
    Not only does this topsheet protect your board, but it also reduces the board's vibration. This makes the board calmer and more stable.

BASE

  • 4001 Sintered Base
    This premium high-molecular density base is a high-end option. Super fast on any terrain and snow temperature. High impact-resilience and great wax-absorption.

 

  • Factory-Waxed with One Ball Green
    Borealis boards are ready to shred out-of-the-box. Factory waxed with One Ball Green.

 

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Liquid Walls
    A sidewall that’s poured directly into the core during the production process. Applied in a liquid shape, after solidifying this wall is more or less bulletproof.

  • Recycled Steel Edges
    All Borealis splitboards and some of their snowboards are built using recycled steel edges. This board has recycled steel edges which are durable, strong, and have a minimal impact on the environment.

 

OTHERS

  • Tail Shield
    The shield has your back: it will help protect your board against rocks, hidden roots or any other obstacle.

  • Powder Storm Insert Line
    An extra set of float inserts with heavy setback for the extreme powder days.
