In short

The Blizzard Sheeva 9 is on of the most agile and narrowest ski in the Sheeva freeride line, aimed at advanced female skiers who want quick edge-to-edge response and control in variable conditions. With a 96 mm waist and a directional shape, it handles firmer snow confidently while offering enough surface area for occasional soft snow. The W.S.D. construction and Trueblend Free woodcore give the ski a stable yet playful character, ideal for technical terrain, side hits, and days with mixed conditions.

In detail

Rocker Camber Rocker
The ski is easy to turn thanks to a rise in both the tip and the tail. Due to the camber under the foot, the waist of the ski provides grip on harder snow. Skis with this type of profile like to be skied from a more centred stance..

Fluxform WSD
The new Fluxform WSD technique of Blizzard provides the power and performance demanded by the world's hardest-charging ladies, yet remains intuitive and accessible for intermediate skiers. The FluxForm WSD construction adds two pieces of titanal running along either edge of the ski, tapering towards the tip but not connecting them. It also adds a women's- specific shock absorption platform underfoot which provides additional strength right where you want it. The Fluxform WSD construction provides extra edge grip and provides dampening in the mid-section of the ski, while remaining torsionally soft in the tip and tail.

FluxFrom differs per model, meaning the firmer-snow-oriented skis feature more metal than the softer-snow-oriented skis.

The Trueblend Free Woodcore

The Trueblend Free Woodcore features a unique combination of three wood densities to create specific flex zones in the ski, offering a smooth and balanced ride with easy turn initiation, confident control, and stable edge grip. This blending of the different densities of wood creates three distinct flex zones; a softer flex zone in the tip and tail areas, that facilitates easy turn initiation and release, a medium flex zone in front of and behind the binding, that helps deliver confidence and control and finally a stiffer flex zone in the center, underneath the binding, that guarantees perfect edge grip and stability.

Titanal
A composite metal of mainly aluminium, known for its torsional stiffness and durability. The addition of a Titanal layer to the ski construction provides stability at speed, strength and damping.

Sandwich Construction
This traditional ski construction stacks multiple layers of materials, such as wood cores, Titanal, and/or laminates, in a horizontal 'sandwich'. This method enhances torsional rigidity and delivers precise flex patterns, translating into superior edge control and power transfer for more technical skiing.

Sidewall Construction
A PU layer that seals the layered ski construction on the side and adds strength. Skis with a sidewall construction are generally more stable at speed, livelier and more durable.
