In short
The Standard is a Directional Volume Twin shape with a wide platform underfoot where you need it and Slamback inserts for those unexpected pow days. MidBite outline brings out the kind of response and edge hold that will shatter your preconceived notions of what a mid-wide board can do. This is 'THE' board for the intermediate to advanced rider who want one board for all conditions.
In detail

PROFILE

  • CamRock
A hybrid rocker / camber profile with a symmetrical tip and tail. The rocker resides in the nose, with a light camber between the feet. The camber is between your feet as a spring keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more allowing it to float. This creates a super versatile board profile that performs under all conditions.

  • Directional Volume Twin
As freeride and freestyle blend, the Directional Volume Twin was born for riders who prefer twins but ride pow. With equal flex, stance, and shape, it feels like a true twi, yet the slightly reduced tail volume boosts float without compromising freestyle feel.

  • Slambacks
An extra set of float inserts with heavy setback for the extreme powder days.

CORE

  • Poplar/Bamboo/Paulownia
Creating a lighter, more responsive core than the Full Poplar. The Poplar + Bamboo uses the same durable core, lightens it up by replacing 30% of the Poplar with Paulownia and then inserts two bamboo stringers down the full length for added pop and response.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 3-dimensional fiberglass at a 45-degree angle. 3-dimensional fiberglass provides good torsional rigidity. This provides stability and response and is often used in boards for the more experienced rider.

BASE

  • Sintered True base
A sintered base is made from grains of coarse powder that are pressed until they form a solid. Genuine sintered base is harder and more expensive than extruded base. It can therefore be faster for those who drive aggressively and fast, provided the base is waxed according to the circumstances.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • Midbite
Midbite is made for tight turns and stable landings. The steel edge between the inserts falls slightly inwards. The result is weight savings and a faster edge change due to the narrower waist. In addition, it provides more grip on icy terrain and the wider tip and tail for stable jumps and landings.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.
