Quick overview

The YES Shifter is a soft flexing twin board designed for park riding and jibbing. Unlike other boards, the Y3D profile begins outside the contact area, giving it a more direct edge feeling.

Details

PROFILE

  • Camber
Offering a snappy suspension, camber distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail. The P’s! Power, Pop. Precision, Predictability! An advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design.

Y3D All-Mountain Freestyle

he Y3D All Mountain Freestyle is your most versatile 3D shape. It will improve the “fun” factor all over the mountain generating a fast edge to edge, smooth turns and a ton of side-hit control. It excels when the snow gets deep and steep.
  • Medium wide center base for quick edge to edge, high speed control and float in pow.
  • Medium uplift of the side bases for control on difficult run ins and sketchy landings.
  • Medium start of the side base uplift for a larger landing platform.

    Sidekick
Sidekick technology elevates the edges at the widest points of the board’s nose and tail, minimizing the risk of catching an edge. This design enhances forgiveness during rides, ensuring a smoother experience. Particularly beneficial in powder snow, Sidekick optimizes floatation, by flushing snow outwards. It also helps preventing unexpected edge catches when riding on a flat base. Enjoy a more confident and controlled snowboarding experience with Sidekick technology.

CORE

  • Full Poplar
The baseline core for tip to tail woodcore snowboard construction. Strikes a predictable balance between durability, consistent flex and light weight.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Biax
A snowboard often has two layers of fiberglass. A bottom and top layer. Both layers in this board are made of 2-dimensional fiberglass at an angle of 90 degrees. 2-dimensional fiberglass gives a slight torsional stiffness while maintaining comfort and a playful character.

    Carbon Layup Shifter
This Carbon Layup configuration adds longitudinal stiffness to the nose and tail area’s while keeping the board torsionally softer between the bindings. This will help keeping the nose from folding in high speed run and makes your ollies pop as high as possible while keeping the board nice and responsive between the feet.

BASE

  • Extruded base
Formed by extrusion. It is softer than the other two bases. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. At the speeds many of us ride, this material is actually quicker (gets up to speed faster) than sintered when waxed correctly. It also retains wax better because it’s more porous and is easy to fix with a P-Tex stick if you get scratches in it.

OTHERS

  • Forever Flex
Forever Flex is the 'breaking' of the board. By bending the board before use, it is as if you have already ridden the board for a number of days. As a result, the flex of the board in your hands will remain stable and will change less with use.
