In short

The Volkl Peregrine 80 is an all-mountain ski designed for stability and agility across various terrains. With its Titanal band, the ski offers excellent control and a lightweight feel while adding the element of stiffness, making it suitable for advanced to expert skiers. The 3D radius sidecut allows for a seamless transition between short and long turns, enhancing versatility on the slopes. The full-sidewall construction also ensures reliable edge grip and durability, providing a smooth, precise ride in different snow conditions.

In detail

Camber
The ski has a traditional pre-tensioning over almost its entire length. This shape makes it easy to build up pressure in the turns, creating good edge grip. Nowadays, nearly all Camber skis also have some sort of rocker in the tip to improve turn initiation.

Multilayer Woods Core
A combination of lighter, softer polar and heavier, stronger beech wood provides a combination between light weight, strength, durability and damping.

Titanal Band
A Titanal strip runs through the center of the ski from tip to tail. This helps maintain overall stiffness while keeping weight under control. Titanal is a high-tech aluminum alloy known for improving dampening and stability, contributing to a smoother and more controlled ride. By positioning the layer precisely within the ski, power transfer remains direct without adding unnecessary bulk. The result is a reliable feel with a balanced mix of smoothness and liveliness.

Sidewall Construction
A PU layer that seals the layered ski construction on the side and adds strength. Skis with a sidewall construction are generally more stable at speed, livelier and more durable.

Triple Radius
For maximum diversity in turns and skiing style, the ski has different radii in the middle and at the end.

  • A short radius in the middle of the ski, focused on short turns and low speeds, feels agile and makes it easier to ski short turns.
  • The longer radii in the tip and tail ensure that the ski feels unflappable in the tip and the turns are easy to steer. This longer radius also makes the ski suitable for high speeds and long turns.
