In some cases, shipping may take 1-2 business days longer depending on how busy it is. Busy periods include Mondays, Black Friday, the week before Christmas break and the week before spring break. Quick overview

The Stranda Shorty Women's is an all-mountain freeride surf shape. It's hard to put these boards in a box, because they can handle anything. It’s well known for being as fun on the groomers as in the backcountry, dodging trees. Stranda added double alu-stringers with paulownia inserts. This dramatically decreases vibrations, giving the Shorty an unprecedented calm ride on hard pack. This is a real riders board with its bulletproof construction and timeless design. And it wouldn't be a Stranda if it didn't holds edge when railing turns. Because this 'quiver killer' is so nimble, better size up, instead of down!

PROFILE

  • Low Camber
    The centre of the board is raised 6mm. Camber gives the board it's edge-hold and stability at high speed.

  • Tip and Tail Rocker
    The tip has a bit more rocker than the tail. Both lie within the widest points of the board. This makes the board easy to turn and an easy change of edge.

  • Powdernose
    A powdernose has a significant rocker in the nose. This gives the board float and a more playful character.

  • Diamond Tail
    The diamond tail is a surfboard design. It's there to deliver speed and control of a square tail and the maneuverability of a round tail.

  • Taper
    The nose is wider than the tail. This causes the board to sink at the back. This brings the nose up and that's exactly what you want in powder.

  • Setback
    Setback puts you further behind on your board. The weight transfer to the rear reduces fatigue in your back leg when riding powder. In addition, setback helps when carving to compensate for your forward turn initiation.

  • Volume Economy Tech
    The Diamond Tail combined with the big nose gives it the properties of a larger board. Suitable for playful powder riding but with plenty of performance when needed.

CORE

  • Ash/Poplar Core
    Stranda uses ash wood and a small amount of poplar in their cores. Ash wood is quite flexible and therefore dampens vibrations easily. In addition, the board retains its camber longer. Poplar keeps the weight down.

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Triax Glass
    Fiberglass woven in three directions. This provides torsional stiffness and a better response.

  • Aluminum Stringers
    Stranda uses aluminum stringers to dampen your ride on hardpack or chopped terrain.
  • Carbon Torsion Rods
    Carbon strips have been added in the core. This gives the board more torsional stiffness and pop.

TOPSHEET

  • Bamboo Topsheet
    Bamboo is very flexible and can withstand stress well. In addition to the beautiful appearance, the topsheet helps absorb vibrations and gives the board some extra pop.

BASE

  • Sintered 4001 Durasurf Base
    A good and fast base that retains its properties for a long time.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • PU-Sidewalls
    PU sidewalls provide extra cushioning and absorb vibrations.

OTHERS

  • 4x2 Mounting
    Standard inserts. A multitude of options for mounting your binding. Not suitable for channel bindings.

  • 4 Year Warranty
    Stranda know their boards are well made. That's why they offer a 4-year warranty.
