Quick overview

The Lynx Mk 5 is a highly versatile touring ski, designed to perform in all snow conditions throughout the season. With a 100 mm width and elliptical tip rocker, it floats effortlessly in powder while maintaining control in variable and harder snow. The camber underfoot, solid wood core, and triaxial fiberglass construction provide stability and precision. Now lighter and slightly stiffer, the Mk 5 delivers a smooth, responsive ride for demanding ski touring adventures.

Details

Rocker Camber Small Rise
Skis with a rocker in the tip, camber in the middle and a small rise in the tail are very versatile. The ski is easy to turn, and the camber under the foot gives the ski grip on harder snow. The tail is slightly raised, but it is not like a full rocker. This makes for a balanced combination of easy turning and carving, without compromising on stability.

Woodcore
The core consists of specifically selected wood types that are laminated in different compositions into a solid core. This gives the designers control over all the characteristics of the ski.

Carbon
Carbon is added as a reinforcement to the core. Carbon is light, strong and durable.

Triax Fiberglass
Fiberglass is a lightweight and strong material. It is woven in three directions (lengthwise and diagonally), providing the ski with precise flex and torsional stiffness.

Sandwich Construction
This traditional ski construction stacks multiple layers of materials, such as wood cores, Titanal, and/or laminates, in a horizontal 'sandwich'. This method enhances torsional rigidity and delivers precise flex patterns, translating into superior edge control and power transfer for more technical skiing.

Semi-Cap Construction
Semi-cap construction blends a cap design's durability with the sidewall design's performance benefits. It protects the ski’s top sheet from chipping while also maintaining the edge grip and torsional stiffness, offering a balance between durability and performance.
