The Oakley MOD BC helmet is specially designed for touring skiers and splitboarders. The helmet is lightweight (less than 450 grams) thanks to an in-mold polycarbonate shell and offers advanced protection with features such as Mips, RECCO and Twiceme. Ventilation is optimized with fixed goggle ventilation at the front and adjustable vents on top. Instead of traditional ear cushions, the helmet has a removable, thin beanie with a ventilated peak and ear flaps. The helmet is compatible with caps thanks to a special compartment for the cap button. Furthermore, the Oakley MOD BC helmet has a headlamp attachment and is triple certified (EN 1077, ASTM F2040, EN 12492). Finally, the helmet includes anti-microbial Ionic+ padding, which prevents odor and is machine washable, as well as convenient packaging for transport and storage.

  • The helmet has an in-mold polycarbonate shell and weighs less than 450 grams.
  • The fixed ventilation openings at the front help reduce the risk of fogging, while the adjustable ventilation at the top of the helmet cools the entire head.
  • The Oakley MODBC comes with a lightweight beanie. The beanie has a ventilated visor for optimal airflow, flatlock seams to reduce friction, earflaps for extra coverage and is machine washable.
  • An extra bonus is available for riders who like to wear their own cap under their helmet. Inside there is a compartment for button on top of your cap..
  • This helmet is triple certified to EN 1077, ASTM F2040 and EN 12492, the standard for mountaineering.
  • Two ports on the front of the helmet provide options for storing sunglasses and headlamps.
  • Ionic+ is an antimicrobial, odor-fighting material that is machine washable. The filling system is designed in one piece, so that it is easy to pack.
  • The bungee straps on both sides of the helmet are for attaching to the backpack.
  • Fidlock Buckle: Thanks to the magnetic function, the helmet can be opened and closed even with mittens on.
  • RECCO Technology: helps rescuers find you if you're under an avalanche or lost in the mountains. RECCO technology is not a replacement for an avalanche transceiver.
  • MIPS Technology: Is a patented protection system that helps protect the brain against impact from different directions.
  • Oakley 360 System: The Oakley-designed 360° fit system provides a confident and comfortable fit around the head while riding. The adjustable dial on the back can be turned in either direction for a customized fit.
  • TwiceMe: By tapping the Twiceme symbol displayed on the gear with a smartphone, you can alert anyone, provide location and access critical information uploaded by the wearer.
