Perhaps the most versatile board of the Gnu line up, the Gnu Riders Choice is an asymmetrical twin made for the slopes, the park and the pow. The hybrid shape in the board provides stability and control on the slopes, and the asymmetrical twin shape gives this board its park characteristics. In detail

PROFILE

  • C2X
    Similar to C2, but with more rocker between the feet and a more aggressive camber under the feet. More float and ease of turning and yet a snappy feel and sufficient edge grip. More pressure on the tip and tail means more stability, pop and control.

  • Asymmetry
    Anatomically speaking, you are better able to balance on your toes than on your heels. This has to do with the way you bend your knees. Since this makes it more difficult to exert good pressure on a whole side turn, Gnu has made boards with an asymmetrical design. The sidecut is shorter on the heel side and the core has been constructed differently. That means heel- and toe-side turns with almost the same precision and strength.

CORE

  • G Lite 3 Carbon Core
    The cream of the crop and the lightest Gnu core. The G3 Eco core consists of carbon, aspen and Paulownia wood. This combination is super durable, light and strong. The Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax fibreglass keeps the weight low and makes the board responsive and precise. All Gnu cores are Mervin Made, meaning they are environmentally friendly.

 

REINFORCEMENTS

  • Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax
    A layer of Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax fibreglass is added to the Gnu boards. This triaxial/biaxial reinforcement ensures extra responsiveness and a more active snowboard in all types of terrain.

TOPSHEET

  • Eco Sublimated Poly Top
    Strong polyester topsheet made in the Mervin factory. Eco-friendly, with a beautiful design.

BASE

  • Eco Sub Sintered Base Material
    A sintered, fast and environmentally friendly base that is easy to maintain.

SIDEWALL & EDGES

  • UHMW Sidewall
    A fast and strong sidewall that can handle some heavy-duty work.

  • Magne-Traction
    Magne-traction is a wavy-edged snowboard. Just like a serrated knife that cuts through bread, Magne-Traction cuts through the snow. Gnu uses seven tactically placed waves in the steel edge, which results in a lot of grip in icy and tough conditions.
