In short

The Fritschi Tecton 13 is a powerful, freeride-oriented touring binding weighing just 550 grams, designed for ski tourers who demand maximum control and direct power transfer on the descent. The fixed heel piece, built like an alpine binding, delivers strong retention and precise ski handling. The lateral toe release with 13 mm of elasticity on each side prevents unwanted releases even under high stress. With 10 mm of length compensation, the release remains dependable even when the ski flexes. With a DIN range from 5 to 13, this binding is ideal for advanced skiers and serious freeriders.

In detail

Comfort handling

Switching from downhill to uphill mode and vice versa is very simple. The three ergonomically walk mode levels can be changed in no time with a pole.

Rails

The alpine heel ensures constant direct traction. To prevent lateral loss of power, two additional rails engage in the back of the boot and fix it firmly in the middle.

Elasticity and reliable release

Like an alpine binding, the Tecton features a long dynamic travel of 13 mm on each side to prevent unwanted releases. Impacts are absorbed by the system and do not cause accidental release. The 10 mm length compensation maintains consistent pressure on the ski boot, even when the ski is heavily flexed. This ensures reliable release in any situation.

Front release

The Tecton features a vertical release at the heel that quickly releases the boot during a forward fall.

Lateral release at the toe

DIN value setting and sideways release at the toe, where the lateral forces act in the event of a fall. The high elasticity of 13 mm on each side prevents pre-release.

Emergency release during ascent

The Tecton features an emergency release during ascent, allowing the binding to release sideways even in walk mode.

DIN-Values

Real and verifiable DIN values adjustable at the toe and heel.

  •  Walk modes: 7° level 1, 12° level 2
